Glad to be featured in Philadelphia Magazine along with many other fabulous clinicians providing important work during this time. If you're seeking help during this time, this is a great list to find a clinician that can fit your needs.

A girlfriend sent this to me because I decided to take up plant care recently. It can be overwhelming to feel the pressure to learn a new skill or organize your entire house during quarantine; some days just maintaining status quo is a win. I’ve been taking small steps to try to build better routines and habits for myself. Integrating plants into the home has made my space feel more calm and comfortable. Whether you are out there as an essential worker or stuck at home all day, it’s important to have a safe space for a time to reconnect with yourself. What small step could you take toward creating space for yourself?

If we as adults are having a hard time, imagine how our kids might be feeling. Often, kids ask for love in some pretty unloving ways. Be their calm amongst the chaos.

Connection and support is SO needed right now! Thankfully, I have motivating friends (here's to looking at you, Jared Epler) that have encouraged me to start a virtual women's support group. The working title is "Mental Health and Momming", however ALL women will benefit from this group. Join me this Sunday, 4/5, at 7pm EST as I provide a keep it real approach offering tangible tools, small discussion groups, and grounding exercises to promote a positive mindset during this time. Please fill out the form below to receive an email with meeting details. Black History Month is a timely reminder that we, as parents, have a responsibility to build and repair children’s racial literacy. These are important conversations to have year round to promote our children to be agents of change. Wonderful advice included in this article. Please set a few minutes aside to read.

As a therapist, I’ll be the first to tell you that I’m not a fan of resolutions. Most of us fall short and feel miserable about the failure by mid-January. If you need to make a change, great! Yet as a society, we often follow the assumption that we need to change ourselves or we are not good enough, rather than appreciating the person we are. For the past few years I’ve been adopting a theme word for the year; meant to build upon my foundation and create focus for the y...ear ahead. My word for 2020 is simplicity. Life can be full of unnecessary clutter that keeps me distracted from enjoying the precious moments in life. I’m here to let go of the chaos and remind myself, it’s not that deep! Have a look at the link for some great ideas on how to focus yourself for the new year and new decade!! Cheers to a healthy and prosperous New Year!
