OK, here we go: Special hours for the holiday season... I am probably going to make FB events for some of these, but it will be confusing since FB doesn't have "special hours" the way Google & Yelp do. I will also have signage inside and outside the store, so I hope we can make this work... Normal hours (Thu 12-8 & Sun 12-5) except during the weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas, & New Years... Special Hours: Wed 11/25 - 12p-6p (Local Comic Shop Day 2020) Thu 11/26 - CLOSED (Thanksgiving) Fri 11/27 - ONLINE ONLY (Black Friday) Sat 11/28 - 12p-8p (Small Business Saturday) Sun 11/29 - ONLINE ONLY Wed 12/23 - 12p-8p Thu 12/24 - CLOSED (Christmas Eve) Fri 12/25 - CLOSED (Christmas Day) Sat 12/26 - ONLINE ONLY Sun 12/27 - 12p-5p (normal hours) Wed 12/30 - 12p-8p Thu 12/31 - CLOSED (New Years Eve) Fri 1/1 - CLOSED (New Years Day) Sat 1/2 - ONLINE ONLY Sun 1/3 - 12p-5p (normal hours) I think this is good. Happy Halloween! Blessed Samhain! Just working in the store, today, but I might have 1 pick-up. Otherwise, I expect it to be quiet, no matter how the pandemic may impact local celebrations. Just another quick reminder that I know that my schedule is not super convenient. I apologize for that, but I might as well apologize for fire (the eternal enemy of paper!) if I need to apologize for COVID.... I am concerned about the virus, and I have every reason to be concerned. As such, I chose to limit the number of hours that people have access to the store (and me). It also helps with the amount of time required for cleaning the store. This helps protect me and mine, and also helps protect you and yours. Don't get me wrong: I absolutely know that I am losing sales as a result of this schedule. And I knew I would when I made this schedule. "Opportunity sales" disappear the second a customer cannot enter the store. I implemented electronic/no-touch payments, and curbside pick-up/delivery/shipping (I do know that this only helps if you know what you are looking for), and nearly all of my customers have embraced the new model.
