We just received word that Concord Township Council has decided to take a page from the Trump playbook and NOT allow a drop box for mail-in votes to be placed at any polling station in Concord. As you'd expect from Concord's opaque government, this decision was made behind closed doors and not in a public forum like the monthly township meeting. We can't say we're surprised that they would oppose a commonsense measure designed to make voting safer in the midst of a pandemic... and in the face of Trump's attack on the United States Postal Service.
