Our newest addition to our Old-Fashioneds and Manhattans: Luxardo Maraschino Cherries These are candied cherries soaked in Luxardo marasca cherry syrup. No thickening agents of any type and no preservatives are used and the dark red color is all natural. Their unique taste comes from the marasca cherry syrup which is made starting from the same juice used to prepare the infusion for the Cherry Liqueur Sangue Morlacco. A cutting edge system of pasteurization guarantees the... maximum level of preservation and safety. Luxardo Original Maraschino Cherries accurate candying process confers to the fruit a crispiness which is rare to find amongst competing brands. Today, like in the golden age of cocktails, Luxardo Original Maraschino Cherries are used in the worlds’ best bars and by the most famous mixologists as a garnish in their creations. The syrup itself may be used in many cocktails as a flavored sugar. They are also ideal over ice cream.
Thank you to the Chamber’s Apothecary for the hand-sanitizer! Be sure to check out their store at 278 Lincoln Way East. It’s nice to see a community help each other out during these interesting times. We can only hope to return the favor, and put a smile on a few faces for those who decide to walk through our doors.

Spirit of the Day: WhistlePig Piggyback 6 Year Rye Whiskey Company - WhistlePig Farms Distillery - Alberta Distillers Limited Proof - 96.56 (48.28% ABV)... Age - 6 Years WhistlePig is well known for their late Master Distiller, Dave Pickerell. The former Maker’s Mark and consulting legend was instrumental in securing the first stock of blending whiskey and designing the company’s pot still. WhistlePig got their start on a 500 acre farm in Vermont, where they focus on growing rye and distilling. The farm is also home to many animals as well as maple trees, the later of which are used to produce maple syrup that is aged in used barrels. Although there is a distillery onsite, the original whiskey to start the company was blending rye from Canada, and to this day, much of that practice is the same. Aging a whiskey longer often comes with a higher price tag, leaving the premium products out of the hands of mixologists or at-home cocktail aficionados. Dave Pickerell wanted to do something about that. Although he wasn’t able to see the completion of the final product before his tragic passing, Master Blender Pete Lynch finished off the endeavor, unveiling PiggyBack Rye. The product focuses on a 6 year old sourced whiskey with a flavor profile aimed at enhancing cocktails such as an Old-Fashioned, Manhattan, or Sazerac. Nose - Butterscotch, Werther’s Original, Fruit Cake, Clove, Cinnamon, Pepper Palate - Candied Walnuts, Raisin, Burnt Molasses, Brown Sugar, Cherry Finish - Rye Spice, Oak, Ethanol, Slightly Herbal and Nutty
