The Corsica Volunteer Fire Company would like to express our deepest sympathy for the loss of our fellow Firefighter Joan Harris. We extend our thoughts and prayers to her family and friends as well as the Summerville Volunteer Fire Department for their loss. Joan was always asking what she could do to help us out when called upon for our fundraising or Fire Police duties. We at the Corsica fire company will truly miss Joan's smiling , happy face and her humorous attitude. Rest easy Joan we got it from here.

The Davis Family lost everything including their family pets last evening in a house fire (Nate Davis Cassie Simpson Davis and their 3 teen boys). They are all safe, as they were not home when the fire broke out. They could use our help right now. Santa will be making his way around Strattanville on Wednesday, December 23 beginning at 6pm. Spread the word! Update! Santa and Mrs. Claus will be sticking ar...ound the firehall for about an hour to an hour and a half after his tour of town. They would like to get pictures with the great people of Strattanville! Please come to the firehall for pictures. Bring your phone and please follow CDC recommended social distancing and masks. We don't want Santa and the Mrs to catch the covid. Please spread word that is Wednesday at hall around 730 pm. See more

We are asking people to remember to shovel out hydrants like you would your driveways or sidewalks. Fire hydrants are supposed to have at least three feet around them and a path to access them. The few minutes it takes us to shovel out hydrants could be the matter of life and death for someone trapped inside a fire.... We really ask that you also watch out for your neighbors and remember that the hydrant on the end of the block is the same hydrant that we would need for your house as well. Thank you, CVFC

On behalf of The Corsica Volunteer Fire Company we would like to express our deepest sympathy and offer our thoughts and prayers to our fellow Firefighter families, and friends of Millcreek Volunteer Fire Company Chief Jackie LaRue Cooney, of Fisher, whom passed away early Sunday morning, November 1, 2020 following a courageous battle with Cancer. No words can express the sorrow you are going through, but may it help to know that Jackie dedicated her life to helping to protect the community, and that she is now in a peaceful eternal place, where no harm will come to her.
