Once a year we hike all of the conservation easements that we hold in Lackawanna, Susquehanna & Wyoming counties. Such a great way to end a rather challenging year!
Beautiful day to be out-of-doors!
Merry Christmas from all of us at the Conservancy! (photo credit: Stella Nova)
Sunset over the Monick/Platt Preserve in Glenburn tonight... Comment with your own outdoor shots from today!
We did it!! Thanks so much to all of our incredible supporters!
WOW - only $185 to go to hit our Giving Tuesday goal!!
At 70% of our goal, we can see the light at the end of the tunnel! Can you chip in now to help put us over the top??
Tour de Trolley Trail - this Sunday! Want to ride the entire length of our Trolley Trail, including the newest section from Dalton to La Plume? Join Countryside Conservancy Board Members Cindy Copley & Brian Simakaski for a relaxed guided ride covering approximately 16 miles over 1.5 hours. This event is limited to 10 participants, first come first served. You must email [email protected] to confirm your spot. Riders need to have a geared bike appropriate for off-paveme...nt riding (minimum 30mm tire width), bring their own water & snacks, wear a helmet, and have a mask or buff handy when needed. The ride will leave at 10am from the Dalton Municipal Parking Lot behind the Fire Hall. This event is free but again you must RSVP to participate due to COVID related gathering size restrictions. We will be offering similar future rides if demand warrants them! See more
Today is the day, folks! If you enjoy walking, biking, running, fishing, hiking, birding, skiing or just being outside on our trails and preserves, we would greatly appreciate your support!

Autumn is in full swing right now!
Say what you will about 2020 but these autumn colors are !!!
Who's had a chance to check out our latest historic sign on the Clarks Summit end of the Trolley Trail? Three others are being installed on other sections of the TT. Massive shoutout to volunteer Amy Broadbent and designer Diane Turrell for their collaboration on all of our historic signage!
We are so incredibly grateful for all of the love and support you have shown us during this difficult year... while pandemics will come and (hopefully) go, these preserved lands are here to stay! Happy Thanksgiving from all of us here at the Conservancy
Beautiful end of summer shot of Lake Winola
On Wednesday night, we celebrated the monumental impact that Dorrance Belin has had on land conservation in northeast PA. Please enjoy this short video we put together with the help of videographer Edward Luecke and with drone footage compliments of Ian Roberts and Discover NEPA.
Countryside Conservancy's Annual Meeting Tonight - Wednesday, 9/16, 2020 at 6:30 pm Join here: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89470352608 With 2020 continuing to challenge our ability to gather in-person, we’ve decided to go completely virtual for this year’s Annual Meeting! Aside from not getting to see one another, this Zoom webinar format actually works quite well and might even make it easier to see our maps, charts and photos. As part of the meeting, we are proud to honor D...orrance Belin as the Conservancy’s first Board Member Emeritus. Atty. Belin is a longtime board member, former board president of the Conservancy, and a life-long advocate for the lands and waters of northeastern Pennsylvania. A recap of 2019 and an update on current projects, including Trolley Trail Phase 3 construction in La Plume and Factoryville will also be discussed.
Congrats to Jay Rogan for finishing The Adirondack Trail Ride: a 587-mile self supported race covering some of the most rugged terrain in the Adirondacks! After 4 days and 11 hours including 51,000 vertical feet of climbing, two river crossings and freezing cold nightly temps, we think you definitely deserve some pizza and beer. And thanks so much again for using this ride to raise funds for Countryside Conservancy! https://www.facebook.com/donate/323082185578439/?fundraiser_source=external_url
Don’t forget that tonight is Countryside Conservancy night at POSH!
Forget cooking this Thursday, swing by POSH at SC for dinner or have it delivered and a portion of their proceeds will be generously donated to Countryside Conservancy! Please like and share! #supportlocalrestaurants
A 580-mile bikepacking race through the Adirondacks AND raising funds for Countryside Conservancy?? Thanks so much, Jay Rogan - we’re most appreciative!!
