Simple skirts for a client: what makes these creations post-worthy are her fabric choices!! The grey & salmon artistic stripe really pops!! I love how the pattern meets at the side seams. I used the Chloe skirt pattern from Made For Mermaids. The second skirt is knit fabric with textured wavy lines. I used Simplicity pattern 8474. Lots of added details on this black and sandstone striped shirt. I used a facing on this top: to keep it from rolling out, I used the coverstitch. Then I did a reverse coverstitch so the loops are visible as well! The 3/4 length sleeves have a gathered ruffle- top stitched in place with a coverstitch. The back closure looks like a keyhole accented by the lines & loops of the coverstitch.
