I suggest logging into VZ or COMCAST Account Online. Use the CHAT With Agent Feature. If you call, it is a 1HR Wait/Call Back.... Ask VZ or Comcast, how OLD is my Modem/Router? How much do I pay/rent a month for it, or do I own it? Is there a newer modem/router, and how much would it cost? Literally, you can COPY PASTE this to the AGENT! If things are working well, it's just good to know this. I would not switch too much if things running well. Getting a new modem can be GREAT, but you need to reconnect Wifi printers, Sonos, etc. Can cause a little work. If things are NOT working well, you most likely need start here. Ask the for the new modem/router, you can sometimes go directly to Store and pickup that day. IF You have a 2+ year old modem, I would upgrade. Please SHARE if you find this helpful!
