Thank you to everybody who participated in our first Take & Make Kits -- we hope you enjoyed them! Our second batch of Take & Make Kits are up today! This time, they have all the supplies you will need to make a Magnetic Puzzle Piece Photo Frame that you can hang on your refrigerator. Kits are first come, first serve, so stop by the library anytime we are open in the next week or so and grab one. Feel free to call ahead at (412) 922-6877 to confirm availability. Happy crafting!

Good evening, friends! Join Miss Mikayla for another Library in Your Living Room Storytime this week, we’re reading Finding Kindness by Deborah Underwood, illustrated by Irene Chan. Kindness is all about small acts and the things that we do for others. What will you do to be kind?

Happy Wednesday! It’s time for our first Library in Your Living Room Storytime of 2021, where we’re going to be reading Because by Mo Willems, illustrated by Amber Ren. This is a lovely little book about all the things that lead to one little girl’s life being changed forever by music!

If you're looking for something new to listen to on your commute or while you're doing work around the house, we wanted to recommend the locally-produced podcast, Cover to Credits! Cover to Credits takes the perennial debate of "Was the book or movie better?" to the next level with entertaining and thoughtful side-by-side comparisons of books and their adaptations. Whether you grew up reading and watching the "Harry Potter" series, or you love the movie "Die Hard" (Did you know it was based on a book? We didn't!), there's an episode that just might pique your interest.

If you attended last weekend's Family Holiday Drive-Thru event at the Crafton Public Library, then you would have gotten a bag chock-full of crafts & holiday cheer! This is our final craft-along video, where we'll be decorating our own mugs for hot cocoa. Don't forget to tune in on Dec. 24th for our super special "Night Before Christmas" storytime!

Starting this weekend, families with children in grade 6 or below can pick up Take & Make Craft Kits at CPL to enjoy at home, make something awesome, and learn new skills in the process! Kits will be available curbside on a first-come, first-serve basis beginning January 9th. There will be a new craft every other week, and each will be available while supplies last. This month, our crafts are simple DIY notepads and puzzle piece magnetic photo frames!

Good evening, everyone! Today we are bringing you our final Library in Your Living Room program of 2020, where Miss Mikayla will be reading the book Bird, Balloon, Bear by Il Sung Na. Can you believe we’ve been doing this virtually for well over 30 weeks now?! We are looking forward to many more storytime programs in the New Year.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from our little CPL family to yours! Today, we wanted to share with you an extra special storytime of the "Night Before Christmas" by Clement C. Moore and illustrated by Jean Hirashima. Stick around for a couple of festive songs. Thank you to everyone who made the transition to digital storytimes with us this year, we all miss seeing you dearly and we hope that 2021 will bring with it new opportunities to be together in whatever ways we can.

Hello Friends! Our Library is unfortunately closed to the public once again. We are very sad to not have our patrons with us this season. We are on Week 23 of our at-home library craft club! Our crafting club, Crafton's Crafters, is still on hiatus (like many of the other programs we have to offer). But that doesn't mean we can't stay creative! Each week, we'll be posting a free crafting pattern based on some of our favorite literature. Follow the link and give this one a try!
