Downingtown Master Bath After a long day of demo the crews uncovered some serious mold and rot issues in the subfloor and structural framing members. This is the direct result of poor craftsmanship when the original shower floor linen/pan system was installed. After remediating the compromised materials, the crew was hard at work adding new framing and subfloor. The beginning stages of the shower framing were also installed. ... Stay tuned to see how CWC has perfected the process of a bullet proof shower floor system, so these homeowners can rest assured they'll never have this issue again!

We've been behind on updating our social media a bit while focusing on building our teams and working around the clock on the projects at hand. The crews have been putting finishing touches on an entire home renovation in Wayne, a second floor addition in Exton, a kitchen renovation in Downingtown, and a large basement renovation in Hatfield pa. Lots of photos to come! In the mean time the crews stated a master bathroom renovation in Downingtown today that we are really excited about! All Kohler fixtures, custom marble tile throughout, ship lap everything, custom shower enclosure and some surprise finishes for the end! Stay tuned!

Second Floor Bed/Bath Addition: Exton PA We are really excited about this next project getting ready to take off! This client came to us with a vision to close over there two story family room with a second floor to create more space for their growing family! We will be adding steel beams to reinforce the existing structure, large LVL beams with TJI Joist, and create a second floor that will add a full bathroom, large bedroom, walk in closet and so much more! West Chester Basement Remodel! Our team started this basement remodel last week and are making great progress! Demolition of the existing finishes, removing old framing to create more of an open concept, all new wiring and lighting, breaking the concrete floor for a full bathroom installation, and custom cabinets being installed for a dry bar area! ... UPDATE! STUCCO REMEDIATION! While renovating a master bathroom for our client in Kennett Square, or team uncovered some fairly serious rot and mold issues behind the stucco on this home! After removing the entire wall of stucco the we could finally access the damage! Multiple structural locations completely rotted and compromised, and soaked insulation! Our team quickly and efficiently, remove all of the plywood, windows, insulation and bad framing. Replaced all of the neces...sary framing members, all of the insulation, all new windows, waterproof sheathing, and matched the new stucco perfectly. This stucco is made up of stucco rated under-layment, a rain screen, wire mesh and 4 layers, giving the stucco a finish thickness of more then 1 1/4"! Doing it the right way, to last a lifetime! Glenn Moore, Pa- Master Bathroom When was the last true humbling experience you can remember? For the Craftsworth team, it was this project for sure! While most firms would be more likely to share there stories about the good experiences with projects, or life in general, we are happy to share the ones that might not be the best. ... This bathroom turned out gorgeous, after we demoed about 80% of the wall tile you see, when it was installed not to par. The tile that the homeowner chose to use was a 24" x 48" Porcelanosa tile with a 1/16" grout joint. You read that right! a 2 foot by 4 foot tile with a grout joint as wide as a piece of paper! While some tile installers would have run in the other direction, we took on the challenge head first. We failed on our first attempt, with uneven tiles and cuts that would not stop chipping. We demoed everything, adopted some new techniques and much larger, more capable tools and went back at it. After days and days, of cutting with a bridge saw, honing 45 degree miters with diamond sanding blocks by hand, and polishing edges with diamond pads, the team physically hand crafted each and every tile for the perfect fit! The rest of the bathroom was outfitted with wood plank tiles, 9' Craftsworth Custom Cabinetry for the vanity, Quartz counters, Kohler free standing tub and faucet, and frame-less shower glass. While making some good progress in our Kennett Square master bathroom project, the crew uncovered some fairly serious rot, and mold growth behind stucco on the exterior of the home! Unfortunately we are left with no choice but to rip it all off, remediate the damage, and replace. The team started a master bathroom project in Kennett Square early this week that we are really excited about! This bathroom will feature LVP flooring, custom double vanity with tower storage, and a very large 7 x 5 walk in shower with frame-less glass. The walls will be accented with a "waterfall" mosaic tile, and were so excited to see the end result! Stay with us here!

We spent some time the other day working on a custom railing project, as part of a larger first floor remodel. The homeowner had us remove the builder colonial railings and carpet at the steps to create a much more modern/craftsmen feel. These solid steel black baulsters were hand drilled and chiseled to a perfect fit top and bottom, to achieve a finished look without using the shoes, and custom made oak newel post with square hand rail just works so well! Cant wait to see it all stained and finished!

Downingtown Pa We certainly had some down time over the last couple months, but as we got the go ahead to move forward, the team jumped right on an exterior deck and paver project! On this one, we removed a 500 sqft paver patio and saved every one, install 8 concrete footings to support the new 500 sqft deck, installed a continuous footing to support the continuous step at the perimeter, installed trex composite decking with hidden fasteners and azek trim boards, repurposed the brick pavers and installed a new walkway, and finally installed a black iron fence/gate! Glenmoore, Pa Kitchen Remodel We couldn't have enjoyed working on this project anymore then we all did! With so much moral, charisma and positive energy with everyone involved, the pictures are practically smiling at you! Downingtown Master Bathroom Remodel Beautiful carrara everywhere including the quartz counter tops, custom tile and curbs! Custom shaker wainscoting, a beautiful freestanding tub and faucet and of coarse the frame-less glass shower in closure, complete with a built in bench, linear drain and a tiled niche.
