Last night our Sportsmans Communinity lost one of our greats. Mr. Huck Plazek served in many aspects of the club and was always super dedicated to the kids and lake at the club always making sure there were fish to be caught for them. His daily appearances at the club will surely be missed by so many. We will always remember you Huck!!!

**PRESS RELEASE** NEW ONLINE APPLICATION FOR CONCEALED CARRY APPLICATIONS The Cambria County Sheriff’s Office announces that Cambria County Residents can now ap...ply online for a license to carry permit or renewal. "Our goal is to make the permit process simpler and more convenient during this global pandemic and we want to make the permit process more accessible to the public and give the community more options. says Acting Sheriff Donald Robertson The new online application can be filled out and submitted at any time. Once the application is completed, the applicant will pay using a debit/credit card which are currently not accepted for in-person applications. The cost of the application includes the standard $20 permit fee plus a $4 convenience fee and a $1 credit card fee. The Sheriff’s Office staff will review the submitted online application and submit it to the Pennsylvania Instant Check System for approval. Approved applicants will then be notified to schedule an appointment to be photographed and to pick up the permit at the Sheriff’s Office. Applicants must bring their photo ID card to pick up the license. The new online application will allow the applicant to spend less time waiting in the Sheriff’s Office for their application to process. Currently the PICS background check system is taking a long time to return approvals and in-person applicants can be waiting a significant amount of time for the permit process to be completed. The traditional in-person application process is still available and you can call 814-472-1691 to schedule an appointment. Appointments are available Monday through Friday 9:00 am 3:00 pm. All in-person application information can be found on the Cambria County Website. https://cambriapa.permitium.com/ccw/start
