Choices are a part of life. It is up to us to choose whether we make good choices or bad choices. Thinking I will always make good choices without planning is j...ust dreaming. Waking up and putting on the full armor of God, is planning to make good choices today. "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.(Ephesians 6: 10 - 11 NIV) Mac CR Natl. Dir.

"It’s TESTIMONY TUESDAY!!! After being sexually abused as a child, I grew up believing I was unforgivable by a God I didn't really know. I attempted to cover t...he pain of my past with alcohol & drugs, but it only led me further into darkness. After serving a tour in Iraq, I lost my eye in a work accident and was introduced to pain medication. It was through a nightmarish experience with Fentanyl that I finally hit bottom. I was introduced to Celebrate Recovery, and that’s when everything changed! I learned who God is- that He loves me, and sent His Son to bring me healing and forgiveness! I know today that I am loved by my Heavenly Father. I am a grateful believer in Jesus Christ, who struggles with chemical dependency, PTSD & sexual abuse and my name is Aaron. Thanks for letting me share! Thanks for sharing Aaron! If you would like to learn more about this life-changing program, check out celebraterecovery.com See more

When was the last time you made an assumption about another person, whether it be from their behavior or appearance, without knowing a thing about them? Yesterday? Today? A few minutes ago? Maybe it was simply the guy in the car tailgating you that you assumingly called a jerk. I'm no biblical scholar, but I do know the difference between a "judge-thy-neighbor" and "love-thy-neighbor" mindset. The first is an agenda bound by rules that individuals see fit and normal to be con...sidered worthy; the latter is a... well, Scriptural term for how we are called to approach one another. Let me remind you, our judgement and condemnation is not bringing God's Kingdom to Earth. I mean really, think about it, are you truly showing God's love by casting aside those you assume He would be displeased by? Need I remind you that we all fall short? I know we know that, yet we are so quick to forget it. We've come to assume that just because someone isn't a textbook definition of "Christian," they are someone less than us, or that just because a different choice is made that they suddenly lose all worth and invitation into Grace and the Kingdom. For crying out loud, we even do this to fellow Christians who attend the same church as us but choose to listen to a different type of music, watch R-rated movies, and wear unique clothing. Sheesh, my friend, what's up with that? Their sin isn't any worse than yours or mine. Scripture says: "Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins." So what if you dropped any kind of judgment about them and took a moment to recognize that no matter what seems to be going on with another person, you simply don’t know the whole story. There are endless ways we filter other people through our own murky glasses, whether it’s assuming they’re good or bad or right or wrong. But until we know their whole story and we’ve taken a moment to think what it might be like to climb into their skin, we’ll miss out on discovering the empathy we have within ourselves, continuing to create distance instead of connection. Simply, being Jesus. See more

"To have Faith in Christ means, of course, trying to do all that He says. There would be no sense in saying you trusted a person if you would not take his advice. Thus if you have really handed yourself over to Him, it must follow that you are trying to obey Him. But trying in a new way, a less worried way. Not doing these things in order to be saved, but because He has saved you already. Not hoping to get to Heaven as a reward for your actions, but inevitably wanting to act in a certain way because a first faint gleam of Heaven is already inside you." C.S. Lewis
