CSIU Early Intervention

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR EARLY INTERVENTION FAMILIES This is to inform you that beginning on November 17, 2020, our Early Intervention program switched to virtual instruction. This remote instructional model will now extend until January 15, 2021. The decision to transition to a remote instructional model is a precautionary measure based on guidance from the Pennsylvania Department of Health, and the significant rise of COVID-19 cases throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.... If conditions permit, our tentative return to in-person instruction will resume on January 18, 2021. Our administration feels that being proactive in shutting down this virus is very important. This allows time for any cases developed as a result of holiday gatherings and travel to be identified. The schedule for CSIU Early Intervention is as follows: Early Intervention: 11/17 _11/24 _Virtual Instruction 12/1 _12/17 _Virtual Instruction 12/18 _Virtual PD 12/19 _1/3 _Winter Break **OFF 1/4 _1/15 _Virtual Instruction 1/18 _Resume In-person Instruction Parents should continue to monitor their child’s health and the health of their families for COVID-19 symptoms. Children with COVID-19 generally have mild, cold-like symptoms, such as fever, runny nose, and cough. If your child begins to develop symptoms, please contact your healthcare provider. Please continue to work closely with your child’s teacher/therapist to assure instruction continues for your child during this time of remote education. The CSIU-16 administration continues to monitor all situations regarding COVID-19 and will continue to keep families informed. We wish you health, joy and peace through the holiday season. DONATE YOUR NON-PERISHABLES TO LOCAL FAMILIES THIS HOLIDAY SEASON Franksgiving is underway with Hanna Radio! All this week, Frank Lewis will be camped out inside a Custom RV from Susquehanna Valley outside the Susquehanna Valley Mall. Bring your non-perishable food items to the trailer outside of Garfield's to help local families in need ...this holiday season. All food will be provided to local pantries and distributions to restock during this critical year for food.
