As this year's Koliada season comes to a close, our thoughts turn gratefully to our members, families, friends and community supporters. We are full of gratitude for your continued support and look forward to next year when we can safely carol for you in person! Опинившись за межами Рдного Краю, тисяч укранцв знайшли спосб, що зберегти те важливе, що дна х з Батьквщиною й спонука до прац заради не - так було вдновлено Сплку Укрансько Молод на чужин. За 75-рокв прац на емграц Сплка виросла в потужну органзацю, яка д в 12 кранах свту, й об’дну клькатисячне членство рзного вку. Органзаця розвиваться, змнються, у не з’являються нов напрямки прац, але незмнним проритет, закладений у головному гасл СУМ жити й працювати на славу Бога й Украни. Вдзначаючи 75-у рчницю вдновлення Сплки Укрансько Молод в Даспор, мамо на мет не лише кинути погляд у минуле, але й вшанувати тих, завдяки кому стало можливим наше органзацйне сьогодення. А головно продемонструвати самим соб та свтов, що Сплка збудована на мцних пдвалинах ври, двост, почуття обов’язку та патротизму, як завжди були притаманн членству. Саме на цих пдвалинах ми будумо наше майбутн, врн заклику сумвського Гмну: Гордо несм нашу славу!. У рамках вдзначення цьогорчного ювлею на рзних теренах вдбуватиметься чимало заходв, присвячених цй под. Крм свтового та крайового рвнв, святкування 75-лття вдновлення СУМ в Даспор знайде свй вдгомн й на рвн осередковому, бо саме там твориться наша органзаця й гуртуться активне членство запорука дальшого розвитку Сплки Укрансько Молод!

Hartuys'! Many of us would have been at Oselia CYM Ellenville for Labor Day Weekend, but were unable to be there this year with it being closed for the summer due to COVID-19. An entire summer without being at Oselia CYM would have been inconceivable before but, unfortunately, was a sad reality for most of us. Not only were we missing Oselia ourselves but Oselia missed us as well as an entire summer of camps and events were canceled. This, unfortunately, leaves Oselia in a ve...ry difficult position financially. You may be aware of Oselia's current fundraising campaign for this summer - with a goal of raising $100,000 to help overcome the deficits from the current season. CYM Philadelphia was the first Oseredok to contribute to this fundraiser and, to date, is still the only Oseredok to do so. We now ask our members and supporters to consider donating to this fundraiser as well! Any amount, however large or small, is greatly appreciated at this time. Whether you donate for that hotel room you would have reserved for Labor Day weekend, the admission you would have paid to attend the Nadiya Ye Festival, the round of beers you would have bought at Dibrova Bar at Softball weekend, the ice cream you would have bought your children at Zlet, or simply make a donation as you haven't been able to make it to Ellenville the past few summers, every penny helps at this time! Dear Philadelphia CYM Members, Parents and Supporters, On Saturday August 8, 2020, The Ukrainian Community of Philadelphia suffered a terrible loss. Mr. Wolodymyr Ryndycz, a long standing member of the Ukrainian American Youth Association (CYM), Organization for the Defense of the Four Freedoms of Ukraine and parishioner of Christ the King Ukrainian Catholic Church passed away. He will always be remembered as a gentleman and was a devoted supporter of the Ukrainian community.... We will all miss his positivity, generosity and smile at Ukrainian events throughout the community. More information at the Fletcher Nasevich Funeral Home Website. Requiem Liturgy will be celebrated for Wolodymyr on Saturday at 11 AM at Christ the King Ukrainian Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at St. Mary Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery. Philadelphia CYM members wishing to pay their respects are requested to do so in their CYM Uniforms. The Philadelphia Oseredok flag will be present at the liturgy and inurnment. Given the health and safety circumstances caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, CYM USA has come to the difficult decision to cancel in-person summer camps in Ellenville, NY. Summer camps are also canceled at our other CYM campgrounds nationwide. At every step of this decision, our national board and camp committees worked to keep the health, safety, and enjoyment of our campers and communities top-of-mind. . April 16, 2020 During these extraordinary times, as we look ahead to the summer, the Ellenville CYM Camp Commission is thinking of you. We are still hoping tha...t the Camps in Ellenville will continue as scheduled. While we recognize the uncertainty we all face due to the evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, we want to assure you that we are continuing to plan for our children's summer camp experience and that the health, safety, and security of our participants is, and always will be, our highest priority. We continue to monitor many factors, including state and local restrictions and travel advisories, which could result in the camp start dates being postponed. In addition, we are awaiting guidance from the Ulster County Health Department regarding the issuance of camp permits, as the Commissioner has put a temporary hold on granting camp permits at this time. We will continue to provide updates as they arise and thank you for your understanding and patience. We anticipate sharing another update in early May. In the meantime, we hope this photo brings back happy memories of being at Oselia with friends.
