We are praying God will bless our church with a low-mileage, gently used van. Our deacon picks up people on Sundays who want to attend church but don't have a way to get there. We could really use a van for this ministry. I'm asking you to share this post with you network knowing that God is able to provide. Thank you.

God's Valentine Gift God's Valentine gift of love to us Was not a bunch of flowers; It wasn't candy, or a book... To while away the hours. His gift was to become a man, So He could freely give His sacrificial love for us, So you and I could live. He gave us sweet salvation, and Instruction, good and true-- To love our friends and enemies And love our Savior, too. So as we give our Valentines, Let's thank our Lord and King; The reason we have love to give Is that He gave everything.

WORDS - Here are a few Bible verses about words: Ephesians 4:29 - Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. Proverbs 12:18 - There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise [is] health. Matthew 12:36 - But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.... Proverbs 15:1 - A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger. Proverbs 13:3 - He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: [but] he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction. Proverbs 21:23 - Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles. Colossians 3:8 - But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Words have power. Words can be a powerful weapon or a powerful healing balm. The problem with words is that once they are released they can’t be retracted. Harmful, hurtful words leave gaping wounds that are hard to heal especially when they come from a loved one. Some carry those wounds for life. I read an awesome post today that said Forgiveness is not God’s suggestion, it is God’s command. Eye opening. On our own, we can’t forgive. As a Christian, we have the power to forgive because God is our Savior but how often do Christians choose not to forgive. There are consequences for an unwillingness to forgive those who have hurt you. Matthew 6:14-15 says For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Ephesians 4:32 says And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you. When I think about the love of God, his ability to forgive mankind, and how we so often fall short, I’m in awe of his love and forgiveness towards us. I challenge you to have that kind of love and forgiveness towards others and to meet them where they are bringing them the light of Christ and speaking words of encouragement and healing into their lives. With Jesus all things are possible even forgiving the unforgettable.

I Peter 1:3-5 - Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away reserved in heaven for you. Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. Jesus Christ was born to die. He came to earth as man and had the same ne...eds as you and me. He felt hunger and thirst. He got tired and needed sleep. He felt stress, etc. The difference was he was God in human form so he could not sin. He specifically came to earth to bare our sin because He was the only perfect sacrifice. He left his throne in heaven to be hung on a cross so that mankind would have access to salvation through his saving grace. When we accept Jesus as our Savior we not only have the hope of heaven but we inherit the right to enter the earthly and heavenly kingdom of God for eternity. Our inheritance is incorruptible (doesn’t decay), undefiled (pure), and fadeth not (doesn’t grow dim or disappear). It is reserved (kept specially for a particular purpose or person) for us (the Christian) in heaven. The scripture then proceeds to tell us Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. The Christian is kept (caused to continue in a specified condition, position, course, etc.) by the power of God through faith unto salvation. In other words once we are saved God is able to keep us in that position of salvation until we die and enter into his glorious eternal kingdom. Once we are saved, we are always saved. God is able to keep or preserve us no matter what we may do. Christians do sin but 1 John 1:9 says If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. With God we can rest assured that with his grace, mercy, and forgiveness we can rise above our mistakes and keep pressing on assured we will be able to call heaven home someday. See more

Psalm 100 - Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness; come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord he is God; it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise; be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. Psalm 1...00 is a great lesson on how we are to approach the Lord and this is something we should incorporate into our daily devotions. The scripture instructs us to make a joyful noise unto the Lord. The scripture doesn’t define what that is exactly but as his child take liberty and feel free to express your joy in your unique way.God knows the heart. Serve him with gladness. Don’t serve out of obligation but with a glad heart. Come before his presence with singing. Singing doesn’t come naturally to me because I wasn’t blessed with a good voice. I want to sing more even if it is just in my car while I’m driving. I know you can carry a song in your heart but I find singing out loud cheers me up. We belong to God. He created us and he is our shepherd but we don’t always act like that. Often we tell God what we want him to do instead of us asking him for his guidance and submitting to his will. Sometimes we think we are all that and a bag of chips. How wrong we are! Enter into his gates with thanksgiving. Gates had significant meaning in Bible times. It was part of a city’s protection and was a place of central activity, where court convened and public announcements were made. God’s gates offers refuge and protection and we are to enter in giving thanksgiving or heralding his greatness for all to hear. Enter his courts with praise. Court was held within the city gate. We should enter God’s courtroom with praise for all he has done for us as wretched sinners and be thankful to him for sending Jesus to die for our sins. Bless his name. The Hebrew word translated ‘bless’ or ‘praise’ means literally ‘to kneel’, the implication being to kneel in worship before our King. How often do we kneel before God in our daily devotion time. This is something I want to personally commit to doing more often. Therefore, to bless the Lord means to praise Him, exalt Him, and worship Him. Why are we to do all of this? For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. See more

Isaiah 41:10 - Fear thou not; for I am with thee; be not dismayed; for I am they God; I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
