Phunt 25K/50K Mile 1

Sunday, April 14, I was given an opportunity to capture promo images for @circusbearproductions for their pre-ride of the @the_spring_xc_at_fair_hill bike race (this Sunday April 28th!). One of the messages this event put out was that women love to mountain bike and they are damn good at it. (I've witnessed this first hand ) There has been a recent movement toward equal payout for women and men in all categories of racing. This race will have equal payouts as well as have ...additional categories not offered to women in most other bike races (some group riders of all age together or have them compete in the men's category ). @rebeccalew_ is leading the charge to bring women together on the trails. She also pushed me to take on this assignment having never covered a bike event before. What's better than getting to document and ride around the course cheering on the riders?? (If you follow my personal account @dz_run_climb_bike_art you know MTB is one of my top loves in life ) These are just a few of the many images I hope will be utilized to empower women to pedal, crank, hop, and rip around their favorite part of the woods. Bonus if they help advocate change for equal categories/prizes for women in competition. Great meeting all those that were out on the course that day! Best wishes on all the racing this weekend! - Aid Station 3 Photo Op - What a spectacular crew working the aid station 3! Kenny and Tyler were a hoot spouting all the Hans and Franz catch phrases. Photos don't lie as they certainly told the tail of how pumped up the runners were to meet the duo...or maybe it was the heat lamps and aid station stocked to the max ;) Flip through to see who stopped to grab a couple reps at the bench press. Tag all the familiar faces you can! Great job to all who braved some crazy Phunt weather conditions! (Slip and slide hill down to aid 3 was particularly tricky.)
