{COLLABORATION #6} A few of the more horrifying sights within Obscurum were featured fresh from the mesmerizing Fringe show "BASEMENT" produced by Gunnar Montana Productions. They graciously shared with us a few iconic elements from their captivating show, including this bucket of body parts, torture chair, and blood-soaked vintage fridge. If you haven't experienced one of Gunnar Montana's intense avant-garde dance performances, don't miss the next one. You won't regret it.
{COLLABORATION #5} The magically appearing symbols in Amelia's workshop were part of a scenic prop designed and fabricated by Roto, a design-build firm for experiences and environments based out of Ohio. These symbols were the beginning of a small hunt offering further insight into whether Obscurum was real or all just part of Amelia's madness. Roto has created interactive installations for attractions, museums, science centers, zoos, aquariums, and brand experiences worldwide.
{COLLABORATION #4} The incredible collectors at Thunderbird Salvage worked with us to fill Obscurum with eclectic artwork and treasures. If you haven't visited their unique Philadelphia store, it's a must-see. You'll no doubt recognize a few iconic pieces from the DARK PASSAGE experience.
{COLLABORATION #3} Our incredible lighting and sound control system was designed and installed by Philadelphia's Knabe Labs. They create custom props and control systems for attractions, film, and theater including many local escape rooms and haunted houses. With a single touch of a button, an entire evening of programmed lighting and sound moments played out automatically and unmanned, including scene changes, synchronized musical scores across multiple zones, and DMX-controlled lighting moments. Lighting and sound cues helped keep the production running on the clock, beginning and ending each cycle on time every night, down to the second.
{COLLABORATIONS #2} We were thrilled to partner with the legendary Fergus Carey of Fergie's Pub to offer drinks in the Strange Spirits Lounge, part of the DARK PASSAGE experience. Our delicious themed cocktails included the Shattered Memories, Wicked Chaos, and Soul Stealer featuring a devilish take on sangria that was "highly recommended" by the Philadelphia Inquirer. Special thanks to bartender extraordinaire Conor Murphy for serving up thousands of cocktails throughout spooky season.
{COLLABORATIONS #1} To create the portal entrance to Obscurum, we worked with Philadelphia's Klip Collective, designers of projection and pixel mapped installations worldwide including the stunning Nightscape show at Longwood Gardens. This LED pixel-mapped tear in reality was conceived of by Klip and installed as a joint project with Pseudonym Productions. Thousands stepped through this entry into the DARK PASSAGE experience throughout the 2019 Halloween season.
