Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, our office will be closed to the public until further notice as we continue to follow the guidelines that aid our direct patient care. Below are Reese’s Dental Tips to help guide some common dental conc...erns! If the issue is mild discomfort that has started within the past 2 weeks, then these ideas may help: 1) Give your pets or loved ones a treat! 2) Brush and floss all areas especially the area of concern at least 2 or three times a day. 3) While pharmacies remain open, Orajel products can be used to temporally reduce some symptoms. They should also have a temporary filling material that can be placed if a filling has fallen out. 4) If an area feels broken or sharp, you may consider using a clean nail file to carefully smooth the sharp edge. 5) Lastly, and only as/if needed, a combination of over-the-counter Ibuprofen and regular Tylenol can be taken if none of the previous steps seem to help. The maximum dose is 600mg of Ibuprofen and 650mg of Tylenol together every 6 hours as needed. If this concerns you on any level, please contact our office. If the pain is long lasting, extreme pain, or you notice swelling, then move forward with the above said pain medication combination and contact us so we can try and troubleshoot your next steps together! The office is proud to announce that Dr. Seth Walbridge will be joining the team starting this Thursday October 6, 2016. Dr. Walbridge and Dr. Kneal both graduated from Temple Dental in 2010. They are eager to put their skills together to continue providing strong, healthy smiles to the Lehigh Valley! On a more serious note, this is a great summary to solidify some of the many important reasons to continue flossing. My personal night-time routine is floss, rinse for 30 seconds at least with mouthwash, and then finish with two minutes of brushing. In the morning, I just brush for two minutes. Anything else is bonus!
