Our next Youth Tails of the Hunt is Ryan Brandon who took his first wild hog! Congratulations Ryan!! I was hunting with my mom, sister, Papa and Nana down in Fl...orida. We were using dogs to hunt wild hogs, which I had never done before. The dogs located a hog, and the chase was on. They were barking and yelping, which I was told is called baying. They finally caught up to the hog and the catch dog was released. It was amazing to watch these dogs work together, they were a real team! After the catch dog had a hold of the hog, I went into finish it off with a spear. That was kind of scary. I needed to be on the ground with the hog and dogs, but Papa and our guide went with me.
