Four new coffees! 1- a really delicious, yet affordable, Gesha from our good friends @cafetioconejo Mega complex, floral, fruity and balanced. A great way to try your first Gesha varietal. 4oz bags. 2. Kalungu, Congo. Super unique- light and brightly citric up front with a very complex and slightly savory finish. Limited release, will only be around for about 2-3 weeks. ... 3. Guji (Natural/Sun-dried) is back! Classic Ethiopian profile, heavy on the florals like white peach, honeysuckle, honeydew, jasmine. 4. Primavera Brazil: for the medium/dark roast drinker- super low acidity, mellow notes of chocolate, nuts and toasted caramel. Comes to us from one of the most technologically advanced and eco-conscious farms in Brazil Online and in store.

FREE COFFEE ON ELECTION DAY At a time when we’re literally quantifying our differences, we like to remember that ALL OF UShave far more in common than we’ve ever had apart. Laughing, hugs, fall sweaters, puppies, family, puns, stary nights, beach walks, comfy shoes, dad jokes, smiles, dinner with loved ones, forests, mountains, soft bed sheets, human dignity, Steeler wins, helping others, free coffeewe agree on MOST things, both big and small. That is not to minimize the... serious issues that need fixing in this country. There are clearly some BIG ones. Some things we should disagree on, some things we shouldn't. We will be here, fighting for what we believe inas individuals as a companyand we urge you to do the same. We will ALWAYS fight for those whose voice and rights have been oppressed and marginalizedand we encourage each of you to keep fighting and pushing for a more just, equitable world for all. But just as importantly (and I am speaking personally here) I believe VERY strongly that we need to carry on that fight while still adhering to the virtues we’re espousing. Specifically human dignity, equality, love, empathy, compassion and respect for each other. I find that remembering how much we actually DO have in common, and DO agree on--is helpful to that end. Regardless of what happens at the polls, this country needs to do a lot of healing and coming together, and we’re ready for it. Luckily, simply talking (and listening) to other humans seems to be a very effective way of accomplishing that. Bringing people together over the generally-agreed-upon small niceties in life (ie a cup of coffee) is why we opened De Fer. We are looking forward to playing a big role in that process, and are excited to get that ball rolling. Regardless of who you are, we invite you to stop in any time Tuesday for a free cup of drip coffee. Onward and upwards friends, always.

EVENTS @ De Fer We’ve gotten a lot of inquiries about using our space for small family gatherings this year - and as long as we are still following all of the same covid-protocol as we do when we’re open, we believe we can do it safely. We are able to do it pretty much any evening of the week, since we are still operating on truncated hours (closing at 5pm). We’re going to cap it at 20 ppl per event though so that we can throuroughly maintain social distancing. That is le...ss than half our approved capacity, so everyone will have plenty of room. We can cater or you can bring your own food. If you’d like to book something - or have any questions at all, shout to [email protected] and she’ll be in touch.

~fall food! New to the menu: 1. Almond Banana Cocoa smoothie w/ Greek yogurt, cinnamon and flax ... 2. Earl Grey Tea Cake w/ @vermontcreamery butter & lemon zest 3. Chia Pudding w/ oat milk, coconut milk dulce de leche and dried mango. (Vegan) 4. Roasted tomato & spinach Fritatta w/ french feta. Super proud of our team for these ones. The tea cake is absolutely wild and the chia pudding is as unique as it is delicious. The smoothie is a meal in a glass, and the Fritatta is seriously savory with a hint of sweetness from the roasted tomatoes.
