UPDATE ...BK to BBK Transition This is my new stump El Chaporita, brought to me by RSD/CRPS on July 29th 2020.. As you can see in the x-ray I've decided to grow some extra bone. December 17th I will be having a complete revision and TMR. They will be taking 3 more inches.... If you look at the bone bridge you can see its not healing after 6 months.The random bone growth is crazy . I really believe the crazy growth is from the bone paste used in a previous surgery.. anyone el...se experience this? We will talk to you all on the other side of this. I will try to document the festivities here and in the big support groups on Facebook! REMEMBER: We don't know the battles others are facing so be kind, forgive and love completely! All warriors become weary with battle...what makes us warriors is the never relenting soul within us that forces us fight everytime we are knocked down. Knock down is not defeat in a warriors eyes..It is a challenge to put to rest the demons that have knocked us down.

Update: BK to BBK Transition Well everyone inpatient therapy is nearing the end. There where many moments when I wanted to just quit. The support from all of my amp brothers and sisters kept me going through all the volume changes, legs on and off, (sometimes every 10 minutes) due to the sweat pools in my liners and lets not forget the constant pain of an immature stump learning to live in a socket. The real heroes are the practitioners here at Delatorre. I have never been to...ld.."ok.. we can get you in next week" it has always been "when can you get here". This is the type of service you should be getting from your Prosthetic company. If you are not.... change providers. There are many benefits to using a smaller established company. The most important is quality of care. A large company doesn't always focus on your individual needs. They are so large and profit driven they force the patient into a cookie cutter solution that doesn't always work for every patient. Heads up everyone... YOU ARE AN INDIVIDUAL AND DESERVE INDIVIDUALIZED TREATMENT....... Thank you to all who have lent me their strength and given me a listening ear through this life altering journey. See more

Update BK to BBK transition Gait training is going well. Started on a walker and by day 5 was walking between the bars and by day 7 I was walking short distances unassisted. Here are a few videos from gait training.

UPDATE... BK to BBK TRANSITION I have had many victories. I say victories because even falling short of an objective I have put in the work to achieve it in the future. Falling short of a goal is ok. You have set them with no indicators of possibility. Keep your nose in it and drive on. Here are a few videos of my progress. I apologize for the lack of quality but most PT'S are terrible at taking video...lol
