In this new decade, I have some high hopes for the beef industry. * I hope young ranchers get an opportunity to break into the industry * I hope old ranchers ...are great mentors, full of optimism and faith in a younger workforce * I hope producers stop arguing over what’s better: there is room for grass fed, conventional and all types of beef * I hope consumers connect with ranchers even more * I hope animal rights extremists get the first chance to go live on mars because I’m tired of them harassing innocent people, or hurting the animals they are saying they save and want to find a little more peace in this already crazy world. * I hope to educate consumers rather than guilt them about the truth of eating meat. None of us know everything and our bodies are an ever-changing place. * I hope more women aren’t afraid to order juicy burgers on first dates, rather than salads. * I hope producers and industry members find a way to work together, because a house divided cannot stand. I hope this next decade brings so much amazing technology and opportunities and success in the beef industry, and I hope I can continue be a small part of it. #beefitswhatsfordinner #eatbeef #newdecade #2020vision See more

Start off the New Year with some new knowledge. Did you know? Cows with on their backs are warmer than cows without. The snow on their back is an indica...tion that they are retaining body heat. You’ll often see cows in good body condition with an inch or two of snow on their back while thin cows are wet because they’re losing heat and melting snow.
