Normally this would be a week of events, socializing and tieing up loose ends before the weekend. A tradition loved by all has to take a break this year but we look forward to next year! Enjoy the selfie station, we sure did.

Normally this would be the most exciting week of the year for those who enjoy the Dillsburg Farmers Fair. Sadly this is not a normal year but one relatively recent Fair tradition can still be enjoyed by all. In 2015 the Farmers Fair Centennial Committee inaugurated the Farmers Fair Selfie Station at the square in town. This year we've made a few modifications to the station to mark these crazy crazy times. Local Farmers Fair enthusiast and artist Val Hawthorne has created a... true masterpiece for folks to get their picture under. Tonight the Exec Board of the Dillsburg Community Fair Association christening of this year's photo spot was captured by none other than Curt Werner. Now it is time for YOU to join in what little fun we can still have by rounding up your family and friends and getting your picture taken and sharing it on our Facebook page. Remember, next year's Farmers Fair is only a year away...And it will be a real celebration!

Monday morning of what would be Farmers Fair week. The banner that hangs across the square would have been up for several weeks by now. The lights will have been hung across the street. The Hall Committee would be in the Community Hall right now setting up in preparation for all the entries for judging. The Fair Queen Committee would be in the high school auditorium preparing for the Opening Ceremonies and the Fair Queen Contest this evening. Vendor spots would be marked... in preparation for the upcoming days. The different committees would be finalizing those last minutes issues that need to be addressed before their particular event/activity. Even though we are unable to hold Farmers Fair this year it just makes us more anxious with anticipation for next year. Even though we were unable to hold Farmers Fair 2020 there are still mugs available and there will also be a special photo opportunity at the square to pay tribute to FF 2020. See more
