Happy Easter to all our dear Discovery Recovery friends. He is risen...He is risen indeed! Even in the midst of these troubling times let us all embrace the truth of a loving God who offers true hope through the Lord Jesus Christ. Through faith in Christ we can have true peace, not by any religion, but by GRACE through FAITH in the risen Lord Jesus. Continue on trusting God and then be amazed at what God can do in your life...a brand new life in Christ.
Don't forget, church in 10 minutes! #HeisRisen

Greetings to all of my dear Discovery Recovery friends. Here is a brief devotional video in an attempt to help us all stay connected and to support and encourage each other. Please be patient with me as this is my first attempt at a video devotional, but hopefully it will be helpful in some small way. Please continue to take care of yourself and each other and continue to stay strong in your recovery. Remember, we can trust God to help us through this crisis and even to come ...out stronger on the other side. Continue to seek God and he will reveal himself to you...and you will be amazed at what God can do in your life. Take care and God bless you all, Greg
Church tomorrow!
In response to the suggested guidelines limiting gatherings of people, GBC has decided to temporarily halt all services, activities, and meetings for the next two weeks. At that time, the situation will be reassessed to determine if resuming a normal schedule is responsible. Discovery Recovery will resume it's normal Thursday night meeting and Sunday School schedule when the church reopens. Keep each other in prayer, remember we serve a great God, WASH YOUR HANDS and we will see you all soon!!!
Many THANKS to Tara Nordby and the Richards Energy Group for their generous donation to the Discovery Recovery ministry! Tara and Bill Landis visited with our group on Thursday January 30, 2020 to make the donation on behalf of everyone at Richards Energy Group. Thank you all very much for your generous gift to bless our Discovery Recovery group.
Chris Daniels blessed the Thursday night Discovery Recovery group by sharing his personal testimony on January 16, 2020. The personal life story that Chris shared revealed the difficult life he lived as a teenager and young man, full of very challenging circumstances and even tragic events. But, he also shared how God protected him and brought him from Memphis Tennessee to the distant land of Lancaster Pennsylvania. Chris described how dramatically his life has changed with God in his life as #1 without any "PS" qualifier. At the end of his message Chris shared the passage of Psalm 118:15-16 that in many ways described his life "The strong right arm of the Lord has done glorious things!" Many thanks to Chris for his willingness to share to our Discovery Recovery group.
This was my last Discovery Recovery Thursday night devotional in my official role as Director of Discovery Recovery. I was blessed beyond measure to have the privilege to help lead this ministry for the past five years. It has been an amazing time and Brenda and I were so blessed to be a part of DR and to have made so many dear friends in Discovery Recovery. Many thanks to everyone of DR that together all make up this very dear group of people called Discovery Recovery.
Gene Guest shared the evening devotional at our Discover Recovery Thursday night group meeting on 10/24/2019. Gene spoke on the 'Power of Faith' and the DR group was definitely blessed and encouraged by his message. Gene has a unique and warm way of connecting with people and caring for people as he shares the love of the Lord as well. Many thanks to Gene for his willingness to share with our Discovery Recovery Thursday night group.
Many thanks to Mark Martin for being a part of our Discovery Recovery Thursday night group. Mark has an amazing personal testimony of how God intervened in his life and saved him from drugs and alcohol and prison. But, Mark also shares that with God in his life he now has a life beyond his wildest imaginations, not perfect but a blessing for sure. In this devotional message Mark shares that God wants to forgive us regardless of what we have done in our past. There is nothing so terrible that is beyond God's reach of forgiveness. Make a decision to place your faith and trust in Jesus and God will forgive you and this step will be the beginning of a brand new life. Many THANKS to Mark for his devotional message.
