As part of our annual Domani Wealth Day of Giving, our team members not only spent time working hard in the community (one of us got to use a concrete saw this year never thought we’d be saying that in our careers!), but we also made corporate donations to align with our service projects. This year, the United Way of Lancaster County, PA connected us with the tree house playground in Lititz, and since that project was nearing completion, we were able to make a donation to the United Way for the valuable work it does with many nonprofits throughout the community!

As we continue to celebrate #25years in business, on this #ThrowbackThursday we’re celebrating a Nobel Peace Prize honoree: Robert Lucas Jr. In 1995 he received the prize for his new classical approach to macroeconomics, having developed and applied the hypothesis of rational expectations. He’s known as the most influential macroeconomist of the last quarter of the 20th century. His theory of rational expectations incorporates the idea that based on the available information, expectations are formed about future prices and quantities, and based on these expectations, they act to maximize their expected lifetime utility. He’s currently serving at the University of Chicago as the John Dewey Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus in Economics and the College.

Giving back to the community is part of our DNA at Domani Wealth. Recently, our team volunteered at Easterseals Eastern PA’s outpatient center for children in Reading, PA, and we were happy to also send them a corporate donation to support their initiatives. The organization provides early intervention services for very young children, from newborns to five-year-olds, as well as specialized therapy support services at its center. The center works with children and families on goals such as learning to walk, improving eating skills, enhancing social skills, or increasing communication, and has experts including physical and occupational therapists and speech pathologists. Our children are precious and deserve all the specialized care they need and we’re happy to be a part of that in the Reading region!

Today we’re highlighting our Senior Finance and Systems Analyst Jackie Keener, who regularly volunteers with Junior Achievement. The nonprofit organization is focused on equipping young people with the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success and plan for their futures. Focusing in work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy, volunteers help mentor and educate students. Jackie says she likes to work with students in the classroom and assist with single-day events such as the Young Women’s Symposium. She enjoys opportunities to serve our community!
