For those following Bruiser's progress; we are happy to announce that he is showing remarkable results. Yesterday, he finished his first out of 6 weeks with us. We are already handling him without a muzzle, with no worries for our safety. ... His tolerance for strangers has greatly increased, although our training protocols do not call for any of our dogs to be pet by random people in public His signaling (communication) to other dogs and our staff is perfect. Bruiser is allowed to be uncomfortable, but he is definitely not allowed to react like we saw him do before training! With 5 whole weeks left, we can't wait to see how much progress he will make!

Remember Bruiser, the Saint Bernard that tried to go after our head trainer during his behavior assessment? (Video is here- https://youtu.be/YOAjkafS_i0) Today, his parents dropped him off for a 6 week board and train program. ... Leaving an aggressive dog at a training facility is easily one of the hardest choices a dog owner may have to make. Bruiser's parents have worked tirelessly since his behavior assessment, to the point where he is now able to walk by most strangers without reacting. His tolerance for strangers has increased to the point where we can calmly stand next to each other and take a picture...and training hasn't even started yet! We are excited to see where the next 6 weeks will take Bruiser, and we know it will be forward progress progress from here!

Bodi and Mira are already practicing their obedience outside this morning, while we eat breakfast. These 2 dogs are in different parts of their board and trains, but they both came to us to learn how to be more calm, which makes for a perfect training opportunity.

You asked, and we delivered! Here is the rest of Bruiser's behavior assessment from last week: In our first video, we showed Bruiser arriving at our facility for his behavior assessment.... In this longer video, you can watch Bruiser sail through the rest of his assessment. He does react and lunge several more times in this video, but by the end of the assessment, the light at the end of the tunnel is definitely shining! Check it out!

Today, we assessed a fear aggressive St. Bernard, and have a short clip on YouTube from the 90 minutes we spent together. This dog has not met another person in over a year, and we stand proud with the dog's owners for bringing him in for a behavior assessment. The footage in this clip may seem disheartening, as watching any dog in this mental state is. Please remember- this is just a short clip, from a short behavior assessment, that only shows 5 minutes of what these peopl...e are going through. https://youtu.be/YOAjkafS_i0

Hamilton is less than 10 months old, and is already off leash trained. He can hold a down/stay around distractions, like; kids, animals , and the neighbors dogs- without even blinking. Most sources would tell you that is not possible with this breed. You may hear that this breed always has to be moving, "because that's just how they are." That is simply untrue, and discouraging to those with untrained dogs. Hamilton and his owner are constantly working together to make sure that his behavior and obedience is under control, and the results speak for themselves.

Lilly and Lucy are littermate Havanese puppies who have come such a long way in their board and train programs. We always try to steer people away from raising two dogs from the same litter because of the chance of developing behavioral issues that comes with it. These two were highly competitive with eachother, and reeking havoc inside the house with their erratic and unstructured behaviors.... Now that they have learned to live a structured life, full of boundaries, independently of eachother, they are ready to live in harmony with their owners.

We are so proud to have survived the crushing response to coronavirus. According to the Small Business Agency: "About two-thirds of businesses with employees survive at least 2 years and about half survive at least 5 years. One third will survive ten years."... The truth is, March of 2020 was our second year in operation as an LLC. We had already been enduring a questionable period of time, completely unsure what the future would bring to our formerly growing business. Our owner and head trainer had just left the country for his sister's wedding, which had been scheduled over a year in advance. Returning in the middle of March, the whole country was already facing a radical change in norms. People were losing their jobs and scared to leave their houses, nonetheless sign up for the most prestigious, and promising (and expensive) dog training in the area. As holders of a Kennel license from the Department of Agriculture, we were still legally allowed to operate, but there was no point. The streets were empty. Our website and Google traffic had shot down dramatically. Phones and emails went days, and then weeks, and then a whole month- without a single lead. Bills were accumulating, and doubts were rising, leaving little hope. Former clients kept our ambitions alive by contacting us, just to wish us the best- to let us know that our business was in their thoughts and prayers. Some of those clients are business owners themselves, who are also suffering a great loss. Those gestures could not have been more appreciated! Our owner had a serious reason to make whatever adjustments were necessary, in order to keep helping others, just as we've done in the past. We are happy, proud, and appreciative when we say that our business has made a full recovery, and that all of our services are still open to the general public. To show our undying support for the local dog-training community that surrounds us, we are formally announcing that start of a FREE YouTube series, narrated by our head trainer. As our way of of saying, "Thank you", an educational series of videos will be produced for the general public to enjoy, share, and learn from. The videos will cover a range of topics; from leash walking, to reading body language, to addressing aggression inside the home. These theories have been in the works for years, and they will include the same exact protocols and techniques we share with our paying clients everyday. To help gather support, momentum and motivation, we are asking anyone who reads this post to please pass the word to your friends and family, and subscribe to our YouTube channel by clicking this link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9tW29Nwk968hEKqslXYiRQ Thank you all for your unwavering support!!

Hazel was recently born, and adopted from the Clinton County SPCA. We always appreciate working with young puppies, as early training is the best way to avoid any severe behavioral issues in the future.
