With January comes a sadness of the holiday season coming to an end. The trees come down; the lights are removed and the darkness of winter sets in. But not today! Could this really be where were were just 365 days ago? Every part of our life looks *drastically* different. Currently we are cuddled on the couch in our pjs watching corny Christmas movies snuggling with our eight week old. And of course, rewatching our past two years of epic NYE wedding celebrations with the most amazing couples! . Amanda comes from a long line of die hard Pitt alumni. She herself went to the University of Pittsburgh where she was a cheerleader for the Pan...thers. Her devotion to her alma matar runs deep. So deep that she never would have considered sharing her life with someone who didn't align with this viewpoint. Especially not someone that vehemently rooted against her beloved team. . That all changed when out for St. Patty's Day years ago in Pittsburgh's Southside. A cute guy named Matthew - who just so happens to be from Penn State - asked her out and... she agreed! They say green beer makes you do weird things, but in this case, her temporary lapse in judgment became one of the most important decisions of her life, as this past NYE, she married him! . Trying to navigate this season caring for a newborn and doing literally *anything* else. Particularly sharing more moments from the amazing couples we got to work with this year. A police officer and a surgeon. Brought together four years ago after a swipe right radically transformed their lives forever. One thing that is remarkably evident about these two is how much fun they have together. They really know how to maximize the enjoyment of life, and they certainly don’t do anything halfheartedly. Having initially planned their dream wedding to be set in downtown Pittsburgh venues, it was a devastating blow to have to rethink all of their plans and pi...vot after so much time and thought went into their original plans. However covid 19 had different ideas. Thankfully, Brett and Colleen are not new to adversity. So, as they have in the past, these two overcame the obstacles thrown at them brilliantly. They turned a family’s private home into what wedding venue dreams are made of. From the clear topped tent - idyllic for drone footage - to the epic choreographed first dance, to the FIREWORKS, and Rolls Royce getaway car - this is one you’ll have to see to believe. It wasn’t an easy road getting there. But it’s safe to say, their hard work and attention to detail certainly paid off. We couldn’t be happier for this brilliant, kind, super fun couple and are honored to have been along for this ride of a lifetime as they kicked off life as husband and wife. Amidst the insanity of 2020, we have much to be grateful for. Finding out we were pregnant at the end of February, and then weeks later having our schedules wiped, work cancelled and our livelihood in question was reeeeally unsettling. We are infinitely grateful for the couples who still invited us into their love stories this year and navigated the changes and restrictions and frustrations thrown at them over and over again to still be married. It’s because of you we remai...n in business and we are infinitely grateful. You were a true high of our year as nothing parallels to the joys of seeing two people begin their lives as husband and wives. This year you did so against all odds. And we can’t thank you enough.
