He stopped by today and dropped off a North Pole Express Mail Box that ships letters directly to him! We have free stationary and envelopes available or you can use your own! Make sure you write your return address so Santa can write back to you! If you can't make it into the store, you can send your letters directly to us at 2020 Big Sewickley Creek Road Sewickley PA 15143 and we will make sure to put it in the North Pole Express Mail Box!

Tonight we stand with the Economy Volunteer Fire Department and the entire Borough as we light up in honor of all of the lives lost on this tragic day, 19 years ago.

We will never forget.

Hello to all the residents of Economy Borough and our surrounding neighborhoods. With the Covid-19 virus affecting many of the 9/11 Memorial services having to ...be cancelled. What we at the Economy VFD would like to see in place of the services, if you would be to put your porch lights on from 7:00 PM until 10:00 PM on September 11, 2020 as a way to honor all those that perished on that horrible day of 9/11/2001. We were thinking of 3 light colors. "White" if you want to honor all that didn't come home that day. A "red" light if you want to honor the firefighters that perished and a "blue" light for the police officers that were tragically taken from us that day. All 3 color bulbs are available at your local hardware store. We would love to see as many Economy residents as well as our surrounding communities participate. What we need to do is share this post to everyone you know as well as tell your neighbors, friends and relatives that may not be on Facebook. We think this would be a great way to honor all those people that were taken from us that day. So PLEASE, won't you participate with us? If you have any questions, please feel free to post them on this thread and we'll do our best to answer them for you. Weekend Hours: Even though opening day of trout was pushed up and we aren’t able to host our annual Opening Day of Trout Cookout this year we will still be opening at 6am on Saturday for anyone who may headed out. We will also have some lunch specials for take-out. For Easter Sunday, we will be open for just a few hours from 8am-12pm for all of your last minute needs!!!

Out of an abundance of caution we have decided to temporarily discontinue our self-serve coffee bar. We will still have all of the coffee options available behind the counter for us to make for you!!! Thank you for understanding!

Doscher’s Market Response to COVID-19: We know this is a very difficult time for many as this situation rapidly evolves. We will continue to stay open as long as we possibly can to help supply you with anything you may need. We are trying our best to keep everything as stocked as possible but please bear with us as some items are really hard to obtain. We have made it our focus this week to go above and beyond health code standards with disinfecting, sanitizing and also the ...personal hygiene of the employees. The health and safety of not only our customers but also our employees is very important to us and we are taking it very seriously. We have instructed our employees to take time off if they aren’t feeling well. So we ask that our customers also refrain from coming if you are not feeling well. We will continue to monitor the situation and follow the guidance of County Health Officials and will update you as needed. Thank you for your patronage.
