If only they were all this easy...loading dock railing replacement at REA Ebensburg. Over 40' of ramp railing and then around the dock with not 1, not 2 but yes 3 hinged gate panels. Remove the old railing, core drill the concrete, install the newly fabricated, yellow railing...and a little safety cage for a forklift propane bottle.

Dance competition props...yep, we do those too! I sold a piece of equipment to a contactor whose wife owned a dance studio, next thing I know, we're making a "tree" shaped prop for her dance competition group. 3 elevated platforms, all designed to disassemble for transport. Not my usual work...but wish I could make neat stuff like this everyday, keeps your brain creative.

Where there is a will, there is a way...and without pre-planning, the "will" refers to money. Concrete contractor didn't ask the homeowner about handrails and the homeowner didn't ask the contractor until after the concrete was poured. Core drilling the concrete would make the steps too narrow so we dug along the step to anchor the ends with concrete and then added a strap to the post to screw into the new concrete. The homeowner was very pleased we could turn a bad situation into looking like it was designed that way.

Sunday Fun-day...sometimes you have leftover parts from a job (safety ladder cage hoops) and material drops (all the rest) and it just comes to you...replace the old truck rim firepit with a new beefier one and add a stainless steel, adjustable grilling surface.
