Five years in the making, a chance meeting with a man in Beiters who had lost faith in the legal system and lawyers. But we did it. With the help of Attorney Shipman this beautiful young lady was adopted today and her family is complete. It’s a great day to be a lawyer. We have the most amazing legal assistants in our office who are essential to every step of the legal process.

Amber Sweeney is one of two recipients of a Mansfield University Scholarship given by Attorney Dieter this year. Missing in the photo was Mr. Koby Peacock who also received a Mansfield University Scholarship from Attorney Dieter. These scholarships were given this evening at the Jersey Shore High School Awards Ceremony.

We had another successful day before the Social Security Administration this morning. A fine hard working client received a favorable decision which will enable him to continue to provide for his family. We are proud to continue to serve our clients in this capacity and to be a part of this type of victory for those who are forced to fight for the benefits they have earned throughout their excellent work history.

Attorney Dieter serves on the Lycoming County Elder Abuse Task Force. This task force intends to address elder abuse, neglect and exploitation. After 26 years of serving as solicitor to the Lycoming and Clinton County Offices of Aging Attorney Dieter believes in the mission of and need for this task force. Essential is educating the public about the signs of abuse and neglect and the ways of reporting the same. The reporter has total anonymity. The Older Adult Protective S...ervices Act gives the Courts and the Office of Aging the means by which to investigate and protect older adults. To be eligible for services through the Office if Aging one needs to be 60 years or older. Pennsylvania has one of the highest older adult populations. The most common abuse of an older adult is neglect (self or caregiver) second to exploitation. We will be posting progress with the task force and upcoming educational opportunities. See more

Yesterday was a wonderful day to be a lawyer. Drier & Dieter was pleased to participate in this family completing an adoption. Kind wonderful parents and their beautiful children.

Ending a long challenging week in the best way possible with an amazing adoption in Tioga County. These three awesome kids were my clients. They are now a complete family. Great lawyer day.

What a wonderful day to be a lawyer. Another adoption with a large supportive family. It makes me proud to be a part of this. Adoptions are truly beautiful just like Courtney.

Attorney Dieter attended the Jersey Shore High School awards banquet this evening. She had the pleasure of providing a scholarship to a wonderful young lady who will be attending Mansfield University, Attorney Dieter’s alma mater.

Today was an especially gratifying victory. It took 2 years of work, many hours of counsel and testimony preparation but we won. This particular client has been through much difficultly and her journey is far from over. However, she continues to fight on like a warrior and I feel blessed to play a roll in helping her through the myriad called the Social Security Disability process. I’m proud of her and equally proud to be her lawyer.

We had another great day at the Social Security Administration. Another successful claim with an extremely grateful, and also wonderful, client.

Today is a day where we made a difference. Our client was able to get his Social Security Disability benefits back to 2014. The most wonderful part was when we were riding down the elevator and I explained to him that the Judge has found in his favor within 15 minutes of arriving. He turned and looked at me and with tears running down his face he told me I changed his life. This could not have happened without the very hard work of Brenda Connor, our legal assistant, as well as all of the other people at the office. These are the days it is all worth it !
