Design Science continues to keep safety the highest priority while continuing to conduct essential medical research. In fact, we’ve conducted over 180 days of in-person testing since March 16th! What is information design? Whether you're a medical professional in the field or a patient at home, you may need to learn how to use new medical devices. Part of what we do at Design Science is information design: developing information in a way that maximizes usability and understanding. From traditional paper instructions to modern digital interfaces, we utilize good design principles to create a more safe and efficient user experience.

We’re taking every precaution we can to keep our staff, participants, and clients safe. We’re making sure our research facilities are routinely cleaned between participants throughout the day, and that we're wearing masks and maintaining social distancing at all times.

Design Science actively works on building a more inclusive environment for all LGBTQ+ employees, clients, and participants. We've added Progress Pride flags to our offices to outwardly show our support, not only for June, but for the rest of the months to come!

It's National Nurses Day and the first day of National Nurses Week! Our day-to-day work often includes interviewing nurses and asking them to provide feedback on new medical devices, training materials, and user interfaces to ensure the future of healthcare considers the needs of healthcare workers as well as patients. Design Science is seeking female adolescents, 12 to 16 years old, with experience self-injecting medicine to participate in a paid study. Participants will receive $125 for providing their feedback on injection devices. This is a SIMULATED study. No injections will be administered to the person or anyone else. Sessions are coming up in Philadelphia, PA. Validated parking is available. Parental/ guardian consent is required to participate.
