Our volunteer business and organization group asked the Borough to make two parking changes that were passed last evening at Borough Council: -We... asked that the parking ordinance reflect the reality that Saturday parking is free. Council approved this change last night, and the new meters should reflect this fact when they are stickered and functional. -We asked for a week of free parking in downtown during December, so the community could park for free and patronize our shops and restaurants. We suggested two weeks to choose from, and the Borough gave us BOTH weeks. The free parking weeks will be December 2-6 and December 23-27. So, come downtown and do some Christmas shopping with us!
