For the past 10 years, I’ve told clients to text; email; and/or call me with any questions 24 x 7. Bankruptcy is a stressful process and clients need reassurance throughout this 90 day procedure. It’s wonderful to receive another 5 star review.

Top of the Morning!! Did you know that the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry has denied unemployment benefits to about 20% of the 1.6 million new applicants since the coronavirus lockdown began in mid-March. Did you know that ALL (320,000 people) of these rejected applicants are eligible for PUA or Pandemic Unemployment Assistance!... PUA provides $600 * 4 weeks = $2,400. PUA ($600 per week until July 31, 2020) + benefit amount your state calculates based on your prior 2019 work income. PUA is back dated to January 27, 2020 and expires on July 31, 2020. Foreclosure Moratorium Extended to December 31, 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic has made it harder for millions of homeowners to pay their mortgages. To reduce the risk of widespread foreclosures, Congress passed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act), Pub. L. No. 116-136 (Mar. 27, 2020). The CARES Act gives some borrowers temporary protection from foreclosure, both by establishing a foreclosure moratorium and offering homeowners forbearance of mortgag...e payments. August, 2020, servicing guidelines from Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, VA, USDA, and FHA now extend the CARES Act foreclosure moratorium at least until the end of 2020. https://lnkd.in/eq4yis4 #mortgage #realestate #mortgages #homeowners #loans

Proud to be a member of the Massachusetts Bar. Thank you Chief Justice Ralph D. Gants for sharing this important message. I hope a similar message is conveyed by the Pennsylvania Bar. Dear Members of the Judiciary and the Bar: The events of the last few months have reminded us of what African-Americans know all too well: that too often, by too many, black lives are not treated with the dignity and respect accorded to white lives. As judges and as lawyers, we are both saddened...Continue reading

Student loans can be erased "discharged" in bankruptcy. The attached Order discharging my client's Discover Financial Services private student loans was signed by Judge Ashely M. Chan on March 25, 2020 pursuant to 11 USC 523(a)(8) and 11 USC 727. Don't listen to those Google lawyers with a JD degree in googling. As B.A. Baracus eloquently said: "I ain't get time for that jibba jabba."
