What a great day to make hay!!! Thanks Mike and crew for all the help! Sure wish I had one of those John Deere’s!
Tried a different approach to soil amendments this years. Worked with Penn Valley Farm to add 30 tons of a custom blend organic Humus compost. Looked outstanding coming out of the truck. Hopefully will get a nice Fall green up to build some standing forage. See if there is an alternative to NPK

Happy to announce the arrival of our spring crop of lambs - 10 ewes and 5 rams. Nice deterrent to make us smile during these trying times.

A community provided breakfast truly fit for a king...our duck eggs grilled with fresh basil..elk sausage from Wesley...toasted homemade sourdough from Kay topped with homemade duck egg mayonnaise from Mark!
The Kestrel babies are all doing great and it was time for them to be banded. 2 female 2 male...they will soon be fledged and out into the world. What awesome birds..
We have babies! And not the usual farm kind. We had the American Kestrel Restoration Project approach us about putting a home on one of our fields. Must have been a good local as a pair moved right in and set up a nest. Yesterday during an inspection they found all 4 eggs hatched! Awesome birds.
Pigs enjoy mud puddles too!
If you get a chance...see this movie!
Attended an advanced screening of #TheBiggestLittleFarmMovie last night thanks to the Plumsteadville Grainge. Outstanding and has a message way beyond the farm community. See it if you can when it hits theaters in May!
Duck Eggs! The ducks think spring is on the way and have begun laying again. Snow doesn’t seem to bother them so if you would like some eggs please let us know! As always thanks for supporting a local farm!
