Netflix set Stroudsburg up with some lovely Christmas lighting. A videographer recording the lights also included some footage of our farmers market yesterday. The last market of the season. (There’s a little cameo of yours truly and our syrup) I have to admit it makes Stroudsburg look like a lovely little Hallmark Christmas village.

It’s National Maple Syrup Day!! Make sure to celebrate by using this sweet treat today! I’ve already had it in coffee, and used some in a new Christmas cut out cookie recipe. Why this day is celebrated in December is unbeknownst to me and apparently other individuals much more educated. Lots of ways to still pick up gifts for Christmas. The sugarhouse shelves are fully stocked and self serve. So stop by. All online orders are shipped out next day. But don’t delay if you are needing gifts shipped. Also, There are only 2 Saturdays left for the Monroe Farmers market that takes place in the courthouse circle in Stroudsburg. Yesterday at the market we were serenaded by the lovely voice of Regina Sayles. Thank you to the Borough and Pocono lovely arts for Regina’s mini concert. It was sooooo awesome to have live music back at the market. Let’s be honest... Who else has missed the ambiance of music this summer at the market from our many local talented artists? Me! I did?

This is how our maple brined turkey looked fresh from the oven yesterday. The meat was very moist and flavorful. Delish!

Have you ever brined your bird? I highly recommend. Delish! This is my recipe that I had on the market board. I’m finally sharing it online. Sorry for the delay. But still plenty of time to plan on doing this for your bird. Adds moisture and flavor that makes it out of this world.
