MARK YOUR CALENDARS! The day you’ve all been waiting for! DKM’s tentative reopen date is Tuesday August 4, 2020! We’ve been monitoring the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic and it does not appear that we will be able to return to the old way of doing things for the foreseeable future. As such, we’ve come up with a plan that we feel provides a balance of safety for the students and instructors, yet allows us to return to training. The new schedule will be:... * Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM. * Saturdays from 12 PM - 1 PM. * All classes will be mixed-level. Class size will be limited to a max of 10 students in addition to the instructor(s). Students will be expected to reserve their space ahead of time using the Fitlife app. We will have access to the entire Fitlife gym, as such, will be able to spread students out to more-than-safe social distances. Thus, masks will be optional. For the protection of the students and instructors, we ask that anyone with any cold-like symptoms refrain from attending class. Classes will initially be no contact, focusing on movement and fundamentals. We will eventually consider allowing family members to attend so that contact and pad-work classes can be implemented. On Sunday August 2 @ 2 PM we invite students to meet at the obstacle course out back of Fitlife so that we can address any questions, discuss pricing given the new schedule, and address any other issues. We miss you all and are looking forward to resuming training! OSU!

Very Krav appropriate!

Krav Maga instructor Alan Feldman has passed away. I had the honor and privilege to train with Alan several times through the years. Knowledgeable, humble, amazing teacher and great martial artist are just a few things that come to mind. Three specific memories stand out to me personally: 1. Being thrown by Alan while serving as his Uke one evening. Alan was teaching Defense vs a Running Tackle, which involves the defender using the attackers momentum, throwing the attack...er to the ground, then the defender landing with all his/her weight on top of the attacker. I was lucky enough to have had this front row seat to the Master showing a difficult / high-level technique, and I also learned that a smaller person, while using proper technique and leverage, can throw a larger person. 2. On one occasion Alan came to our class, and when given the option to teach, Alan politely declined and instead preferred to be out on the mats holding pads, working on fundamentals and interacting with the students. This impressed me, and taught me that regardless of belt rank, one should never stop practicing. 3. Alan showed-up to a boxing / sparring class one night. Without hesitation, Alan put on his gloves and jumped right in with us students, some of which he’d never met. I was impressed at Alan’s confidence and willingness to put himself out there. It would have been very easy for Alan to stand on the sidelines and watch, but he chose to participate and lead from the front. Thank you Alan for your contribution to Krav Maga. The Krav community and the world community has lost a true gentleman. Alan Feldman was a Krav pioneer, especially for those in the United States. He was truly an Instructor's Instructor. He was humble, unbelievably knowledgeable, and incredibly skilled in translating and teaching his knowledge to those he instructed. I had the fortune to meet and train with him and I will never forget his quiet style and demand for perfection. I posted the picture below because it illustrates who he was. He had stopped in to see the school, took off his jacket, and started teaching in his business clothes. Our thoughts are with his family, and all of his students and fellow Instructors. He will be missed and never forgotten. Andrew.

To our DKM students, we hope you and your families are staying safe. We miss training with you! While we cannot have any face-to-face contact, we encourage all students to continue to practice basic Krav Maga movements at home. This is a great time to involve a family member as your temporary partner. Your homework assignment for the next week is to go through yellow belt and perform 10-20 reps of each technique during your workout(s). Make sure you are working the techn...iques from your dominant and opposite stances. The curriculum will be posted on the DKM group page. Thanks and stay safe!

Hello DKM family! So, what is everyone doing to stay "Krav ready" at home? We would love to see your responses posted below.

Hope everybody is well. We miss seeing and training with everyone. Keep applying pressure to this virus by following what the medical community is telling you. We will knock it out. It's the Krav way. Kadima!

A lot of people have been sharing this video. The student did a great job with the suspect. The individual before him was not as successful. Thoughts on what he might have done better? Feel free to post below.

Good morning everybody! Hope this post finds you at home and well. For those who have to work, thank you and be as safe as possible! We are looking into some training options that we can provide to you as this situation will probably be prolonged. We truly appreciate your loyalty and commitment to DKM. There is no DKM without you. And yes, we are missing it too!

Just checking in on everybody! Please continue to practice personal "self defense" as much as possible. We can't wait to get back on the mats, hopefully soon!

In light of the recent health pandemic, Dynamic Krav Maga will be closed starting Saturday March 14th. We will continue to monitor the situation and will re-evaluate prior to the week of March 23rd. Thank you for your understanding and everyone stay healthy!

Saturday Combatives

Congrats to all those who tested in the kids class last night. You all did fantastic and demonstrated the true spirit of Krav Maga. OSU!

A HUGE thank you to Ohev Shalom of Bucks County for inviting us out to teach some Krav Maga once again! We focused on a few simple self defense techniques and then strung them together for a final test at the end of the evening. Everyone did great!

Dynamic Krav Maga just celebrated its one year anniversary of being in business! The staff would like to thank the students for their support and we look forward to many more years of great training! Today we worked on recognizing and responding appropriately to various threats from a self-defense standpoint.

The 6-week Dynamic Krav Maga kids summer session came to a conclusion last night. We reviewed some fundamentals, pressure tested the students and then ended with several students receiving their white belts! The DKM staff would like to thank the parents and kids for their support and we look forward to seeing you all when the kids class resumes on Tuesday August 27!

Sure, you can just lift weights. Or, you can add them to all of the Saturday punching drills!
