As our team gets ready to reopen the office please be advised of some new changes to our office. For a full list of changes please go to our website. www.eastchocolatedental.net When we confirmed your appointment, we asked you some screening questions and advised you, if possible, to limit the amount of people accompanying you or your dependent to the appointment. You called or texted us from the parking lot when you arrived for your appointment and we repeated the screenin...g questions and asked if there are any changes in your Insurance. This was to limit your time at the Front Desk at check in. When you entered the office, we asked you to stop and use hand sanitizer. Hand sanitizer is throughout the office as well as tissues and wastepaper baskets. We asked you to sign a statement that you answered all the screening questions to the best of your knowledge, and we took your temperature with an IR touch less thermometer. If you answered to the affirmative (i.e. yes) on any of the screening questions or you had a fever above 100.4, we referred you for COVID-19 testing and/or gave you a mask to wear. In this situation we would defer your treatment. You will see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys, or any other items that are difficult to clean and disinfect. Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. This will mean less furniture in the reception area and a much larger distance between chairs. We have purchased HEPA/Ionizing filters to decrease the number of droplets in the air. We will allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time. In accordance with these changes, we ask that you alert staff if the hand sanitizer, soap, tissues or any other product appears to need replacement. We will sanitize countertops, doorknobs, and any surfaces that we believe have been soiled. We also ask that when using the restroom, you open the door with a toweled hand, and leave the door open when exiting.

To our loyal patients, As dedicated healthcare professionals, we are committed to the health and safety of both our patients and staff. Under the Pennsylvania Department of Health and Gov Wolf’s mandate as of Sunday, March 22 our office will be closing temporarily. We plan to re-open as soon as possible and will call patients to re-schedule appointments at that time.... In the interim if you have a true dental emergency please call 717-585-9775. To our loyal patients, Effective today, we have made the difficult decision to close our office at this time due to the COVID-19 pandemic, following the CDC and ADA recommendations. Everyone with an appointment for the time being will be postponed. If you have a dental emergency you may call our office phone number (717)534-1135 and it will direct you to the emergency line. We understand this is an inconvenience for all involved but the health of our patients and staff is o...ur top priority. Once it is determined that it is safe to resume normal operations, we will be in contact with our patients to get appointments rescheduled. Thank you for your understanding.

To Our Dedicated Patients, We are taking the COVID-19 virus very seriously. We are monitoring the situation and will follow the recommendations of the CDC and the ADA. In order to ensure the safety of our patients and staff. We continue to closely adhere to the CDC's guidelines regarding sterilization and sanitizing. At this time our office will remain open to meet the needs of Loyal patients. However, we will be taking the following actions to minimize the risk associated ...with the virus: Please call the office to reschedule you or your family members appointment if you or someone you have been in contact with has any combination of Fever, chills, a dry cough, trouble breathing, or any other flu like symptoms in the past 48 hours. If you have traveled in the past 14 days outside the country we kindly ask that you reschedule your appointment. We would like to keep the amount of patients in the waiting room to a minimum. We ask that if you bring along a guest they wait in the car. We will be removing magazines, toys and any other non santizable items from the waiting area. Self check in will be closed until further notice, please let the front desk know when you arrive to check you in. We thank you for your understanding and continuing support of our office.
