East Main Student Ministry

WE DID IT! So proud of and thankful for these amazing individuals that make up this incredible group! East Main Presbyterian Church Youth participated in the World Vision 30 Hour Famine this past weekend. They served at our local thrift store which supports our local food pantry, helped Habitat for Humanity with a special project, and served at Light of Life Rescue Mission and the WV Distribution Warehouse in Pittsburgh; they learned a lot about hunger and poverty through games and simulations; they worshipped, prayed, and fasted. It truly was a LIFE-CHANGING-LIFE-SAVING weekend! AND WE MET OUR GOAL to raise $12,500! THANK YOU to everyone who supported us with prayer, encouragement, and donations!

Christmas Acts of Random Kindness 2016 is in the books! THANK YOU to all of the students and leaders and parents who helped make this a success! 175 Candy Bags, 35 Cookie Platters, 25 Cookie Bags, 60 Outreach bags, 10 Poinsettias, more than 45 personal deliveries and at least 100 smiles delivered this afternoon! Praying that everyone we interacted with was encouraged with a reminder that God loves them, sees them, and is WITH them.

We're helping with CHURCH HAS LEFT THE BUILDING TODAY from 12 - 5 pm! Info with details has been sent to everyone who signed up to participate, but if you want to join us at the last minute COME and join us in Fellowship Hall at 12:15 pm! We'll keep you busy! We're looking forward to a great afternoon of serving our neighbors in ways that let them know that they are loved, seen, and cared for by God! It's going to be great! No other youth group today -- we'll return to our usual schedule next Sunday, November 6.

PUMPKIN FEST TODAY! JUNIOR HIGH meets at the church from 3-5 pm for pumpkin carving, sweet treats, and fun! Bring $5 to help cover costs, a treat to share, and wear something orange. IRONS MILL FARMSTEAD TRIP TODAY! East Main Youth are headed out for tons of fall fun at Irons Mill Farmstead in New Wilmington this afternoon! Great Pumpkin Corn Maze, live Pig Races, Apple Slingshots, Jumping Pillow, Pumpkin Bowling, Bat Glide, live music by TAKING GROUND, food, campfire s'mores, and more! Everyone who RSVPed for the event will meet at the church at 2:30 pm. Others are welcome to meet us out there around 3:15 pm. See you later!
