The first Civic Design Review for the project proposed for 4401 Ridge Avenue, a 185-unit apartment building at the corner of Ridge & Merrick in East Falls. Spoiler Alert: the CDR voted 3/5 to ask the developer to return after considering their adjustments to the plans. The biggest issues seem to be 1) the "monolithic" aesthetic, which the committee recommended could be broken up by a mix of materials and 2) the environmental impact (they feel the developer could do better).

2020 and the New Year have brought two additions to the small but mighty team at Historic Germantown. Lawanda Horton Sauter joined them to assist with fundraising, events and business development. Ms. Horton has raised over 25 million dollars for organizations throughout PA, DE, NY and NJ. She has provided startup & capacity building support to over 250 organizations.
