The East Vandergrift Post Office window has adjusted hours today, Monday, July 20, 2020.

The Borough Office will be opening at 10:00am today, July 8, 2020. We apologize for any inconvenience!

We just wanted to share a friendly reminder that as you prepare for our Spring Cleanup Day this Friday, please wait until Thursday to place your items at the curb.

Mail-in ballots are available to any registered voter. In order to utilize this feature for the June 2 Primary, you must apply for your ballot by May 26. You can do this online by following the link below. Remember, this is a Primary election, which means it is solely for voters registered as Democrat or Republican. The General election will be held in the fall and will be open for all registered voters.

UPDATE #2: PennDOT just informed us that they have postponed for one more week. They are now scheduled to begin Monday, May 4. They say this *should* be the last date change. UPDATE: PennDOT has postponed the start of construction to Monday, April 27. Please note that PennDOT will soon begin repairs of Vandergrift Lane. The scheduled start date is Wednesday, April 22, 2020. The road will be CLOSED to all vehicles and foot traffic. This will be a temporary inconvenience, but the lane will be much more stable for years to come. Please be patient through this process. We will keep our residents updated as to the progress once repairs are set to begin.

With so many folks home from work as Spring begins to bloom, it's a good time to get those projects done at home that you've been wanting to do! At least 3 days before you dig, though, please remember to call "811". This triggers all local utility companies to check on the location of any underground pipes or wires that may be in the vicinity. This is a FREE service, so please remember PA One Call at 811! Notice to residents: Vandergrift Lane is being prepared for future improvements. PennDOT will be performing core drillings between 7:30am and 5:00pm daily from March 27th through March 30th. The road will remain open, but it will be one lane in places during the drilling.

Please note that the trash pickup location "trial" has been extended until further notice. If you live along Quay Street, McKinley Avenue, or Kennedy Avenue, and you were asked to place your trash along the front road, rather than the alley, please continue to do so. We appreciate everyone's cooperation and input on this change!
