Service on Sunday of Christian Unity 1/24/21

Ashes will be distributed tomorrow - Ash Wednesday, at Summerhill EUMC beginning at 6:30 pm. There will be no Service, only ashes along with a Devotional you may take with you for private meditation and prayer. Please enter through the front door and exit through the back door [except those who need assistance, enter and exit through the back door for use of the lift]. CDC guidelines will be observed. In light of the predicted icy weather for this evening and tomorrow, regretfully, Worship Services at both Ebenezer UMC and Summerhill EUMC have been canceled. ... I am sharing the February Worship Service provided by Susquehanna Conference today instead of next week because next week, February 14th, 2021 we will begin wor...shipping again in our churches - Ebenezer UMC and Summerhill EUMC! It is imperative that CDC guidelines are observed - masks, social distancing, etc. I am excited to be back for worshipping our Lord together, but am also going to insist on caution. Pastor Deb announced this morning that due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in Columbia County, our last in-person worship service will be held on Sunday, December 6. After December 6, worship services will be recorded and posted online until it is deemed safe to resume in-person worship. More information will follow at a later date. United Methodists believe in doing good and doing no harm, and we need to protect the pastor and the members of our congregation fro...m this virus. In light of this announcement, please note the following: November 29 - Brighter Christmas Fund offering envelopes are due; Shoe donations (new or gently used) are also due to benefit the Berwick Theater. December 6 - Holy Communion will be celebrated; Christmas offering for benevolent homes will be collected. After December 6 - if you wish to submit offerings during the break, checks may be made out to Ebenezer UMC and mailed to the church treasurer for deposit in the church account.

Reminder to bring your shoe donations on Sunday. We will collect up until Sunday, November 29. Thank you!

On Sunday, we will begin collecting gently worn, used and new shoes. Our goal is to collect at least 25 pairs. More information is below.
