Scope: A guest service representative is reliable and responsible for attending to the needs of guests, especially during check-in and check-out. Seeking: We are currently seeking Part-time, Guest Service Representative. Will be on a rotating schedule consisting of weekends and holidays, 90-day and Annual evals to include increases, based upon job performance. Typical hours per week will be range from 20-35. Major Responsibilities: - Provide information to guests about hotel policies, services and amenities - Respond to requests from guests for assistance & information about the local area (directions, attractions, places to eat/shop, etc.) - Provide 15 minute response time to guest requests for expendable amenities & other room items (extra linens, blankets, pillows, toothbrush, etc.) - Actively sell rooms to "walk-in" customers - Actively sell reservations to in-bound callers - Reservation information in computer system - Post charges to guest accounts - Process payments from guests, accurately and according to hotel protocol - Make necessary corrections / adjustments to guest accounts - Effective communication with housekeeping & maintenance departments - Close attention to forwarding the appropriate information via Communication Log Book for review by future shifts - Responding to guest complaints appropriately - Operate hotel switchboard or PBX - Cleaning and organizing the front desk area - Maintaining daily logs & printing required reports - Balancing shift work and cash drawers accurately - Follow Choice Hotels brand guest service standards - Actively attempt to gain Choice Privileges Membership enrollments - Actively attempt to gain positive TripAdvisor reviews - Following hotel's safety standards and rules of conduct. - There will be numerous additional responsibilities assigned by Supervisor / Manager so that down-time is productive time.
