Edgar Hardesty Israel Tours 04.05.2021

I need to share with you the phenomenal response we have had concerning the coming Cairn University Israel Study Tour. The Tour is scheduled for March 7-19 in 2022, next Spring during the University's Spring Break. We have been negotiating for 46 participant slots. Normally this is an optimistic number, but it is also the best number to make us financially viable, not overcrowding venues and transportation, and not requiring additional overhead and personnel. We will not have... final cost figures in hand until mid to late April as the airlines don't normally open their reservations until 11 months out from the departure date. With all of that in mind we have already received partial or full commitments from 51 folks that wish to join us and an additional 7 or 8 on a waiting list. There are always cancellations for multiple reasons as financial deposits and deadlines become reality. Simply put, we are already full. If you are still considering joining us I would recommend that you make your intentions known to me as soon as possible. As the inevitable cancellations occur the slots will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Please keep me informed as we move forward and I will do the same. As information becomes available I will be posting on both sites - "Edgar B. Hardesty" as well as "Edgar Hardesty Israel Tours" and emailing those on the contact and committed participant list. What a year this has been. Praise God for light at the end of a very long tunnel :-) See more

After nine days on the move, day ten on our Cairn Israel Study Tour is far less demanding. We leave Jerusalem for the Judean Wilderness heading East towards the Jordan Rift Valley and the North end of the Dead Sea. During the day we visit Herod's wilderness fortress known as the Herodium, the Wadi Qelt overlook where St. George's Monastery sits perched on the side of a cliff across the Wadi. We stop for a leisurely lunch enjoying the hospitality of a Patriarchal Encampment known as the Genesis Land hosted by Abraham himself and his faithful servant Eleazer. The setting is pristine and the meal is ethnically authentic and delicious. And for those who choose to do so the mode of transportation to and from the encampment is on camel back. Altogether a welcome change of pace and a fun time of relaxed fellowship.

Good Morning Dear Friends, The picture you see was taken at sunrise out of our hotel window overlooking the Hinnom Valley looking toward the Mount of Olives on the horizon. A beautiful start to a very full day in Jerusalem. Since I posted my update yesterday we have doubled the number of committed participants from 9 to 18 with at least 20 more ready to make a firm reservation as soon as the financial obligations are available. The March 2022 Tour, still a full year away, is showing every sign of filling up early. I am amazed at the response I have received so far. Please email me at [email protected] with your questions, comments or commitment to join us at your earliest convenience.

Good Morning Dear Friends, I wanted to bring you up to date on the continuing plans for the Israel Tour scheduled for March 7-19, 2022. The response has been overwhelming especially in light of the fact that I do not yet have the total costs involved. I already have 9 firm commitments and another 35 interested, 20+ of which are very close to a firm commitment. We are negotiating for 46 participants total. Any more than 46 makes for a very full transport bus with no room to ...stretch out when needed. Please do not think I am trying to push anyone in a direction they are not ready to go. I expect the prices to be at or below the price we were quoted for the May 2021 Tour before we were shut down by Covid. We are currently waiting for several hotels to respond and book our group but the airlines will not give us solid reservations for a block of seats until we are within 11 months of departure. We will not have final figures from them until early April. Our licensed Israeli guide, Michal Schneider, has reserved the dates on her schedule. She was visiting here in the States and spent the last few days here in our home with Me and Rachel as well as other local friends and previous Tour participants. As always, I will only charge what it costs to properly conduct the Tour. The initial price I quote when we finally have one will be in line with previous Tour prices which include ground transportation, entry fees, meals (with the exception of lunches in the field), hotels, baggage handling, airlines, and tips. A $500.00 deposit per participant will be required before your spot on the Tour can be confirmed. As always deposits and/or full payment are refundable up to 90 days before departure. It looks like we will be filling the Tour early this time. If you have made up your mind to join us please let me know asap. Hold your deposits for the time being as I will not be asking for any money until all plans are complete. These are exciting times and this particular Tour is coming together in a hurry. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any and all questions you might have. Rachel and I are looking forward to traveling the Land with you. Shalom and Be Well in these challenging times, Edgar See more

My wife just sent me a video from her Facebook memories taken on a previous Tour in Israel. This will give interested folks some idea how we go about conducting the Tour as we visit individual venues and sites throughout the Land. Happy to say that the old guy doing the talking is 30 pounds lighter and without the facial hair these days. Enjoy ! https://www.facebook.com/rachel.c.harde//10209493000067799
