Electric City Music Conference 29.04.2021

An important lesson I’ve learned is that there are some people who will always find the negative in everything, and those are the people you stay away from. Life’s too short. : Kailey Howell

Tonight at 8 p.m., our friends at Ionic Development will present a special live living room acoustic set by singer/songwriter Ed Cuozzo, who has been creating d...eeply personal music for most of his life as a solo artist and with Scranton-based bands like Melded, A Fire With Friends, A Social State, and University Drive - BAND. Expect to hear stripped-down versions of his original songs from several of these projects during the stream on the NEPA Scene and Juicebox Sessions Facebook pages! The show is free, but donations are welcome during the live stream!

Electric City Music Conference 20.10.2020

In recent months, the Circle Drive-In has served as one of the last available venues for live music in NEPA. The drive-in theatre provides the ability for safe and socially distant concerts to take place. All state and local safety guidelines are not only followed, but exceeded. These concerts have allowed organizers the ability to provide income to many workers, brought in car loads of people who stay in local hotels, eat at local restaurants and fill up their vehicles with ...gas. Organizers are willing to meet with borough and make realistic accommodations, but no such effort has been made by Dickson City. As Dickson City is a major business district, deterring these customers from their local businesses would seem like a poor judgement call. Concerts will end, due to weather, at the end of October and are already few and far between. We ask you to join us in requesting that Dickson City not take the drastic step of putting people out of work, damaging multiple local businesses and attacking the arts in the middle of a pandemic that has already taken so much away from us. Allow the concerts to happen. They claim they only got 3 emails in support? If you love live music: Flood them! Emails in support of Circle can be directed to [email protected] or [email protected], as directed by the Dickson City Borough website. Please let them know by signing below as well. http://chng.it/K6kJW8nxZG

Electric City Music Conference 12.10.2020

In under a month... putting on an outdoor show will not be possible. The live music industry is in a tough spot right now. These shows are barely profitable as it is and are few and far between. This is an assault on what is currently left of national touring live music. Everyone behind these shows is doing this as a community service at this point and trying to keep some people employed. This just makes me want to double my efforts in support of these shows. This is small to...wn nonsense. They claim they only got 3 emails in support? If you love live music: Flood them! Emails in support of Circle can be directed to [email protected] or [email protected], as directed by the Dickson City Borough website.
