ELKS LODGE NEWS NOVEMBER 4, 2020 THURSDAY BURGER NIGHT -- CANCELLED... Unfortunately, we have to cancel burger night due to one of our volunteers being unavailable. Burger night will resume next week. PITTSBURGH STEELER SUNDAYS The Lodge will be open at Noon this Sunday. The Steelers play the Cowboys. Kickoff is 4:25 PM. A table and disposable gloves will be available in the hall if you elect to bring in your favorite covered dish. Stop in and cheer the steelers on with your friends!

These fundraising events really help us in this time of low business volume due to Covid restrictions.

The Steelers play the Browns. Kickoff is 1:00 PM. PORK CHOP DINNER FUNDRAISER Chef Edwin Amador will prepare a stuffed pork chop dinner (drive thru or eat-in). The date is Saturday, October 17, from Noon until sold out. Dinner includes a stuffed pork chop, garlic mashed potatoes, vegetable, roll, and dessert. The price is $15.00. We still need cookies---DONATIONS NEEDED Once again, we are asking for cookie donations for the fundraiser dinner. Please drop off your cookies Thursday evening October 15. Also, if you can help with the dinner return this email to me with your contact info. AUTUMN WREATH RAFFLE Thanks to Trish States for donating a beautiful autumn wreath and fall bows to the Lodge. ELKS LODGE NEWS SEPTEMBER 23, 2020 Golf Outing and Basket Raffle... Thank You goes out to everyone who helped and donated for these two events. Both were a success. The basket raffle generated a little over $1,000. The golf outing profit is still being finalized. Again, thanks to all of our volunteers. Burger Night Thursday The Burger King is back. Eric Nagy will be flipping burgers this Thursday. He holds the pre-covid record of 58 burgers sold. (please note cheese on the burger is a 50 cent upcharge. Lottery Promotion The Pennsylvania lottery is running a promotion for their horse race game. This Thursday every customer will receive a card that entitles them to three races with a winner only pick. Steeler Sunday The lodge will be open this Sunday for the Steeler Game. Kick-off against the Texans is 1:00 PM. Covid Restrictions Please continue to comply with the guidelines of mask wearing, social distancing and frequent use of hand sanitizers. We will continue to monitor the State’s regulation status for the use of our banquet room. The grill room status will not change as it is driven by social distancing criteria.

ELKS LODGE NEWS SEPTEMBER 17, 2020 BASKET RAFFLE FUNDRAISER... Over 30 baskets are on display at the Elks Lodge. Please stop by and purchase your tickets. This year we have some very nice baskets. Winners will be drawn on Saturday, September 19, at 7:30 PM. You do not have to be present to win. Additionally, Eric Nagy will be cooking wings that evening. THURSDAY BURGER NIGHT CONTINUES--$6.00 This week’s volunteers are our seasoned pros. Tony and Kathy Sgro will be our volunteer chefs. Stop in for a take-out or eat-in burger to show them your support. FRIDAY NIGHT PIZZA Ian has volunteered to make pizzas this Friday. You can order a whole pie or pizza by the slice from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. SATURDAY NIGHT WINGS Eric Nagy has volunteered to cook wings this Saturday. Hot and plain wings will be available from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. PITTSBURGH STEELER SUNDAYS The lodge will be open at noon starting this Sunday. The Steelers play the Denver Broncos at 1:00 PM. Because of Covid restrictions we will not be offering a formal buffet. However, members can bring in food to share with their table. Patrons will still have to order food from the bar to get drink service. Gloves and hand sanitizers will be available. Please note we will monitor and adjust our offerings on Steeler Sundays as time progresses. BARTENDER The Elks Lodge is looking for a part-time bartender. The applicant must be available for opening shifts (2:30 PM) Monday through Friday. 12 to 16 hours per week. Please call Tom Burnett at 724-388-4246 if you are intereste.

There will be hot dogs and hamburgers available during the entire event. There will be no meal following the event at the Lodge or at the course. However, a $10 restaurant gift card will be given to participants in lieu of the meal. The price is $65.00 per player Tee SponsorThere is still time to sign up for a Tee Sign. Informational flyers & signup sheets are available in the lodge grill room next to the popcorn machine stand. Donations Needed We need donations for prizes for our golf outing. If you have an item that you were going to regift or a new golf club that you don’t use, please bring it to the Lodge and put it in the banquet room. A special thanks to Chef Edwin Amador and Chef Stefanie Davis for their hard work in preparing the pot roast take out dinner fundraiser last Sunday. The food was excellent. The event generated slightly over $1000 in profit. Thanks also to Deb Poloff who chaired the event and all the volunteers that showed up that day.
