Think spring!!!

Please guys think this time of year. I know you want to clean up the yard and get a jump the nice weather. They have been warning us of a high fire hazard for over a week now. Today all of the area fire stations and personnel were out away from their families, risking their safety because some decided it was a good idea to burn in an extremely dry environment with strong gusts and sustained wind.. seriously guys ? These men and women work crazy hard to protect us all year and... now when they could be home with their family doing what they love no they’re out protecting us and our property because of others carelessness! They have over 1/2 mile of hoses out, they have to roll up and clean, all their gear, their trucks their equipment etc.. so that one call has taken away their entire day and today a dry windy day they had three calls that were unnecessary, three calls that were not an accident.. just some common sense is all we ask. Thank you. A huge THANK YOU to stations 20,64,78,22 holiday park vfd , Washington twp and medic one for all you do today and every day. My apologies if I missed anyone . Remember these men, women, boys and girls are all volunteers and deserve our respect and compassion!! See more
