As we head into the 2021 season Entropy Racing and EVSR need some new help and new equipment. We are building 3 new EVSR cars and plan to run all the MARRS Sum...mit races as well as other select events. First off we are looking for a 20-28' box truck with a GVW of 26K or more. Must have lift gate, and not be a van based unit. If you know of any good deals out there let us know. Doesn't have to be perfect, just good running condition and decent to look at. We are also looking for a qualified electrician to do some work in the shop and on our generators. Specifically we need to configure our two traveling generators to work with our chargers. This will involve 3 phase with added transformers . Lastly, we are looking for help during the season, both at the track and at the shop. This could be part time, event based or even full time for the right person. If you or any friends know anyone who can help with these things put them in touch. While Entropy Racing is devoting 90% of its time to the EVSR - Plugging In & Kicking Gas Program, we still have time to squeeze a friend in for service. Jason looks *very* happy to have his 1974 Cadillac Sedan DeVille back after refreshing the underside of this 44,000 mile survivor: the entire bottom of the car was scraped and repainted (and that's a lot of real estate on this car), all fuel, brake, power steering and transmission lines were replaced. The gas tank was remove...d and redone, as well as shift linkage, new suspension bushings and alignment and countless other small services performed. When complete it received a full detailing and should be good for another 40 years! While Entropy had the Caddy, Jason had Charlie's 1984 Porsche 928 as a loaner. You can see the 928 is no garage queen because it gets driven often, fast and far. As for the Caddy, it has many miles in its future, dirty or clean, wet or dry. For sale if it is allowed on this forum. I have a really nice 1960 pick up that will be coming up for sale shortly. It is a 1275, with disc brakes, taller rear... for a sane top speed of about 65miles an hour and lots of great work. 12 K takes it away Once we finish a couple of minor details Originally restored in 1988. Obtained by me in 2003 and in the 7000 miles we have owned it we have done all mechanical services needed to make this an excellent driver. Zero rust underneath with very little repair ever done. Fresh paint underneath, and all the mechanicals work as they should. Rebuilt carb, spitfire Brakes, very strong 1275. No leaks, no smoke, starts every time with a recent starter motor installed. Valves adjusted recently. Seats are not original but fit the car very well and are very comfortable. Wheels are straight and powder coated with excellent hubcaps, and fresh tires within the last 500 miles. Tailgate is a custom piece that works very well. Rear bumper is from a traveler and new chrome is on order as we speak. Front bumper has shallow pitting, but new over riders. Exterior body is nice with old paint, rust at the bottom of the doors which is easily repaired by any competent body shop, and a couple of bubbles where the cab roof meets the back cab, but otherwise you will not find a more solid pick up that hasn’t been on the rotisserie. Rear fenders also have some mud and a little bit of cracking. Interior is car color with lousy carpet and orange shag carpet on the door cards. (I didn’t do it ) All the instruments work . Gas gauge speedometer and odometer and indicator lights. Aftermarket seatbelts, with the functioning heater blower and wipers. Contact 267-226-0525 to discuss details. Happy Monday, ya'll! What does your day look like? Here in Pennsylvania it is rainy and we are all preparing for a snow event of some type for Wednesday. Today Dale is working on a customer's 1974 BMW 2002. His punch list includes replacing a water pump seal, which has to begin with removing the head. In addition to the seal, Dale will be replacing numerous gaskets and timing chain guides.... After two postponements this year, the Seniors in the Alfred State Motorsports Program got to compete in the 2020 Green Grand Prix at @Watkins Glen Internationa...l. This year held a little rain for the day, unlike the freezing rain and ice of 2019. Unofficially, Team EVSR was first overall in the Autocross, with the best time posted by student Jameek Smith. We also were the most efficient team over all with unofficial results being EVSR travelled 80 miles, using 15.6 & 16.09 KWH respectively for the 2 EVSRs. Effectively, our MPGe was in the high 160s! Another great example of why your cars should be driven and not stored! Entropy recently took in a 90s era Porsche 911 (the last air cooled model); the owner brought it in due to overheating issues he was having. Dale started to examine the fan shroud for motor cooling and saw a lot of degradation and damage due to age. When he started to disassemble the 911 further, we knew WHY the car was overheating. The cylinder cooling fins were covered in mice nests and their former ...tenants! Once that was resolved, Dale did a thorough check on the car to see what else it needed. The car had MAJOR oil leaks; this led Dale to disassemble the right rear wheel well to repair the dry sump line leading to the motor as well as a few other prophylactic repairs. Another issue led Dale to take apart the "frunk" and perform some work on the ventilator motors. Again, sitting equals rotting. Cars are meant to be driven and enjoyed. A few weeks ago, Entropy.Racing and EVSR - Plugging In & Kicking Gas participated in NASA NorthEast's "Fall Fest" at the New Jersey Motorsports Park - NJMP. EVSR raced two rentals, while Entropy.Racing took the opportunity to put Roy DeVries and his new 1983 Volvo 240 through their paces. To prepare for the race, the Volvo did need some prep which Entropy.Racing was able to accomplish along with proper fitment modifications for Roy. Check out some of the process along with the results in the video below.

EVSR has recently (like yesterday recently) acquired a new vehicle! Charlie picked up a 2004 Orion 29-Passenger city bus. It has a gigantic four-cylinder Detriot diesel with a 5-speed Allison automatic. We hope to use this bus to consolidate some track vehicles. EVSR plans to divide the bus so our generators, our chargers, our tools, and other essentials can live in the rear of the vehicle and use the rest of the bus to host customers, crew, and dogs alike. Over the weekend, Entropy.Racing acquired this beautiful 1983 Volvo 240 from our friend, Kevin Clemens. With a little love and a little prep, we will be taking it to NASA NorthEast at New Jersey Motorsports Park - NJMP on the Thunderbolt course from 9/24 to 9/26 for its first testing. Once there, it will get a shakedown for its new owner. EVSR - Plugging In & Kicking Gas will also be getting in on the fun. EVSR will be bringing a car for Steve Hanford to refresh his racing li...cense, as well as getting to experience an EVSR for the 1st time. Another great day at the track at NYST - New York Safety Track. We had a rental customer in EVSR who got every lap and then some. For those of you who are skeptical about electrics running successful events this day's result should put the argument to rest. Six 20 minute sessions without a lap missed in one day and on the truck before 4 o’clock. 100 miles of great fun without a bit of trouble.
