Attention Parents/Grandparents and Students, Attached is the flyer for our Primitive/Traditional Archery Course/School. This is hands on and Packed full of information, the 6 week course is almost full. Must Pay to be registered. The student will learn Archery from the basic level and develop a high level of Archery knowledge that can be used in all Archery methods. The Students will build their own all wood self bow! Build their own Arrows from collecting materials from the... woods. Build their own Bow strings. Split Turkey feathers and finish their own Arrows. Students are welcome to bring their own Longbow or recurve and I will instruct proper shooting each week. Register by paying SOON. Thank You, Guru Tim 6 WEEK PRIMITIVE/TRADITIONAL ARCHERY COURSE During this course Guru Tim will guide the student through the steps of building the self-bow, arrows, and bow string making. Each week I will demonstrate and lecture this week’s project so the student can have that work completed by the next class. Step by step each student will make his/her own all wood self-bow. We will collect arrow shafts and learn the process of making arrows, splitting feathers, fletching arrows, and making bow strings. By the end of this course each student will have gained a great amount of knowledge of Primitive Archery and have their very own bow and Arrows that they have made with their own hands. Only 6 spots available (note: a family of four making one bow is one spot) Time: Sunday 4:00-6:00pm. Dates: Starts Sunday August 9th, August 16th, August 30th, September 13th, September 20th and finishes September 27th. Every student will make their own self bow, learn how to make arrows, bow strings, split turkey feathers, fletch arrows and of course shoot the Bow and Arrow. Cost: $200.00, 6 spots available, you are registered as soon as you pay Guru Tim will provide all the materials and tools needed; however, Students may bring their own tools, a good knife, a drawl knife, rasp and files, work gloves, chair, water, snacks and notebook. Topics covered/Outline: Exercise warm-up, Self-defense Technique, Survival Lecture in detail The Four sacred Skills. Edible/Medicinal Plants, Cordage making, Awareness, Stalking, Drive to property for making Beds and Shelter building, Finish with basic hunting: Stalking, Throwing sticks and Archery. July 2020 Newsletter, We are open regular schedule at the school and all evening classes will continue to be on Zoom; students must sign up for 2 classes a week (text or email Guru Tim) and stick with those classes until discussing with Guru Tim (zoom classes are unlimited). (Times are different it is no longer come when ever you want) All classes are 45 minutes long (SO I CAN SANITIZE BETWEEN CLASSES). A change of shoes is a must, DONOT wear dirty or wet shoes onto the matt.... Temperature checks are done at the door. Students will be directed to their area and stay in their area for the whole class (SOCIAL DISTANCE). There is no sharing or borrowing equipment (every student needs their own equipment). All bags and mats are sanitized between classes. Students should not entire the school until 5 minutes before their class time. Thank you for your continued support, THERE IS NO REASON NOT TO CONTINUE TO TRAIN TO BECOME A BLACK BELT AND BEYOND. THE SKILLS AND PRINCIPALES THAT I TEACH ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN EVER.
