Happy 2021! Many people have been seeking to join the Erie to Pittsburgh Trail Enthusiast Facebook Group. Please be sure to answer the membership question. The question helps moderators weed out those that want to post spam on the page. The question is not difficult, but keep in mind the answer should be appropriate to the question. If the question is not answered within two weeks, or the answer is not appropriate the request will be declined. If you invite someone to ...the group, please let them know the question needs to be answered to be accepted to the group. The group was formed as a place peers can help peers and share their experiences, or ask for assistance in planning their experiences. Please note the Erie to Pittsburgh Trail is not 100% complete, but many sections incomplete are under some form of development activity. We are pleased to have all the support and love that we are receiving from the cycling community and others that live, work and recreate along the entire planned EPT corridor!

It was a very snowy day on the Erie to Pittsburgh Trail. It looks like Dan Paine enjoyed the snow on the Allegheny River Trail (owned and maintained by the Allegheny Valley Trails Association) and the Justus Trail (owned and maintained by Cranberry Township, Venango County). Both trails are part of the Erie to Pittsburgh Trail.

Oil Creek State Park Bike Trail Extension Seeking Public Input Plans are being made to extend the Oil Creek State Park Bike Trail. Oil Creek State Park is loc...ated in Venango County, and the bike trail is one of the trails on the emerging Erie to Pittsburgh Trail. A virtual public meeting was held October 16 to gather input on the proposed trail extension's alignment. The second step in this process is to gather additional public input through an electronic survey. The public is invited to take the survey, which includes a link to the project maps. Your opinion is important as this project moves forward. The survey is very concise, with eight questions, and can be accessed with this link https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/6RYBC73. Questions regarding the project should be directed to Oil Creek State Park by calling 814-676-5915.
