Winter Wellness series for older adults via Zoom Thursday, December 3, 2020 3:00 PM 3:45 PM... When we demand to be well we are engaging in a political act of self care. With the rise in COVID and drop in temperature our elders will be in doors now more then ever. In response to these difficult times we have created a 6 week wellness retreat for older adults that will bring balance to mind, body and spirit. The series is designed to be experienced in its entirety but can be taken in parts. We especially encourage elders of color to join! A Message from the Owner of Essence of Acupuncture: Hey everyone! I have spent the last eleven years building and refining my acupuncture business "Essence of Acupuncture LLC". I am a sole proprietor and do all of my own treatments, counseling, and management. At this point, due to the restrictions that have been placed on all of us in Philadelphia and Pennsylvania, my business has been effectively closed down and its revenue is down to nothing. Over the years, I have been... able to help so many people with their health challenges, from migraine headaches to helping bring babies into the world (and everything in between). It has been the joy of my life to see the smiles on my clients' faces as they are finished with their treatments. Acupuncture is mind, body, and spirit medicine, so most of the time once the pain is gone, there is also such an incredible feeling of peace and well-being. I have been working on many business plans and strategies since having to close my business on March 16, 2020. Existing and prospective clients are calling and e-mailing, and I am hoping to be able to open up my business sometime this summer. I feel that I have been able to successfully fill a niche in under served communities that are missed in "Complimentary Alternative Medicine." Unfortunately, I haven’t seen any "stimulus money", or have been approved for any of the government programs or even unemployment compensation as of yet. I would like and fully intend to keep my business alive while going through this Covid-19 pandemic.
